Hobonichi Techo Cousin Avec Book (Japanese/A5/Jul-Dec 2018/Single Book)

I love the Hobonichi line. I use an A6 (original Techo) for everyday planning and the A5 (Cousin) is my school planner. In both cases I use the Avec, which gives you two books with 1/2 the year in each so it’s not so bulky. The Avec does not come in an English version, only Japanese. It’s still perfectly fine to use for non-Japanese speakers like myself. You just won’t be able to read the quotes and interesting factoids in the back of the book. This has sections for monthly overview, weekly (which the A6 size doesn’t include) overview and daily pages. The paper is deceptively thin. It’s tomoe (sp?) river paper. I’ve used a variety of pens on it with no troubles, including regular ballpoint, micron and fountain. Some people really like to use watercolor paints on it, although I haven’t tried that yet. The paper has subtle grid lines which I like because I don’t like my writing to look like it’s running downhill (or uphill, for that matter).

Contains July to December of 2017. Is written in Japanese but contains enough English to use. Does not have American holidays. Made with River Tomoe paper which is thin but strong kind of like a Bible paper. My fine point Sharpe pen stylo does not bleed through. Pristine condition.

i love the planner, but i am unhappy that it came with a bent corner. i'm sure it seems like a small thing, but i was really looking forward to this shiny new planner, and it's bent all the way through in the corner.

I want to give it a five star but mine arrived damaged on the top. Still inside the original package, the corner of every page was bent and distorted.
