Unlike at least one reviewer, I did receive this boxed. It's shelf-ready packaging for the supermarkets rather than a smart gift box so I suppose that if it gets broken in the warehouse they send the bottles without.I did wonder whether I would use all this before it went 'off' or stale but, reassuringly, the Henderson's website says that although they are required to give a sell-by date, the sauce improves with age like a fine wine so I shall have the butler lay down a couple of bottles in the cellar, despite his scepticism.A bit more expensive than the Tesco online price but I can't get it locally.

I absolutely love this. It's great in cooking as well as a sauce over food - especially cheese on toast. What's really handy, is that its naturally vegetarian and gluten free, so usable for the whole family. I find it difficult to get hold of in the south of England - so it's great that you can get it at a reasonable price from Amazon.

Udually buy this product in 1 litre bottles for my daughter living abroad. Very pleased that I got the small bottles this time as it will keep better in the warm climate. Also she can gift a bottle to a friend.H

I prefer this to Worcestershire sauce, it doesn’t have anchovies.
