BPS 'Storm' Premium Surf SUP Leash 10 Foot Coiled Leash – Choose Color and Bundle

if you value your board and your life don't get this leash - spend a few more dollars and get a quality product made by dakine - the swivels are the weak link with the storm leash - I snapped my first leash near santa cruz when the swivel near the board ripped - I reported to vendor (and offered to send a photo of snapped leash) who was very responsive and sent a replacement - I ended up being charged for a new leash - i couldn't be bothered wasting time to go back to amazon to get a refund and prove the original leash was faulty - the second leash lasted a few months then snapped in the same spot - i ended up tying the end of the leash to the board connector to bypass the swivel - another few months later down in mexico and the the leash snaps again at the swivel on the footstap end - my board got smashed up pretty bad on the rocks - I very rarely write reviews - this maybe my first ever on amazon but when this product flashed up as a product I may be interested just now I felt compelled to write one....

I have been paddle boarding for a few years without a leash. I purchased this leash for two reasons: 1. To connect myself to my board when I am out alone -- especially when it is more than just a little breezy; and 2. During yoga sessions, I wrap the ankle band around my paddle shaft and place my paddle out of the way in the water where it floats next to me. When I am alone on a breezy day, it has been my concern that I will fall off the board and the wind and current will quickly separate me from my board. This is a great safety net for that scenario. The leash is as described. The velcro is strong. The ankle band is comfortable.

I have two of these. I had a different brand first and when I fell off my board in the ocean the leash broke. We switched to this leash and have had no problems. The coil keeps it from getting in the way from being too long, it dries quickly. When we are carrying our boards we just attach it to the middle of the board to keep it from dragging the ground. We will always buy these leashes.

Super comfortably ankle attachment, the coil does exactly as advertised, it stops it from dragging behind you in the water. It has a swivel on the ankle to coil connection so it doesn’t matter how you move or put it on, it always moves freely and comfortable. Love the variety of colors too, so mine matches my paddle board. Water proof waist bag is a great addition, my only complaint would be that the edges are quite sharp if they catch your arm/wrist while paddling, and it is difficult to get your stuff in an out, but it is waterproof as promised!

I had done my research, read the reviews and compared products, so I knew when I bought this product that it would very likely be good quality. What I didn't expect was a superbly designed, very high quality product. This leash is heavy duty, from the swivel, to the super strong Velcro, to the coiled leash that feels like it would last forever. On top of that is the design. Sure the cuff is very soft, I expected that, but the small things, like the finger loop to open the Velcro, the extended piece of Velcro to allow for any size ankle, and the overlapping Velcro design to ensure the leash doesn't come loose, are all elements of a product that was clearly designed by professional board users.

although this device was designed for a surf board, I looked at the designed features and went ahead to purchase as a tether for my rather expensive fishing rod/reel. I lost both recently and watched as it sank down into the lake (I cannot dive that deep to retrieve). Had I had this tether, I wouldn't have watched it go over board and down into the lake bottom.I tried this device out this past weekend (read reviews prior to purchasing) and was very happy with the swivel leash that allowed me to travel about the boat as I wished while my rod/reel was in its holder. No tangles, it swivels very nicely and I traveled about the boat over 6' away with no worries. NO tangles in the coils, no pulling and it all came back to its original compact coils upon my return to my rod/reel to continue fishing. Even though it was very not out, tethering this device to my ankle posed zero discomforts.If anyone out there needs a very reliable and comfortable tether for their fishing rod/reel, get this one, you will not be disappointed.

Super Heavy Duty. At first I though "whoa" this is way too beefy for my bodyboard but after a trial run today I'd say "wow" this is a great leash. The few times I ditched my board and went under the wave the coil helped zip the board right back into my hands. Works very well. The only caveats I would mention are :1. The leash is long which is great for most circumstances but when you get tossed around in a wave you can definitely get tangled up. This happened to me today. One must be aware of this while using a longer leash.2. The leash is BULKY and has beefy swivels on it. You can still use it comfortably but you will need to get used to it.Otherwise now I need to buy another Bodyboard to match the quality of this leash :)

I was worried the cord and connection would not be very robust. I use this leash for my OC-1, an outrigger canoe. I want security and safety in the ocean. I was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of this leash. Price and delivery were also excellent.

Yet to try this item for real. Fitted easily to the iSUP and looks like it is well made and will stand the test of time. Very happy with it. The follow up email from the seller was nice and seemed very genuine - I will look make a point of looking them up next time I'm looking for watersports equipment. Thanks.

Good quality, solid feel to this coiled SUP leash. No longer getting my paddle tangled in a standard leash. The leash seems well made and sturdy with comfortable cuff and little pocket for keys etc.

I am a new to SUP. I found the leash to be robust in construction. It was easy to attach both to my ankle and the board.It did the job - myself, the leash and the board remained attached throughout.

Great Product, used for 1st time last night on my SUP and brilliant quality, great fit and strap is big enough to go over my runners calves, without being too tight.The rest of my club were impressed and are ordering soon!
