Myst - Nintendo 3DS

Ok first off don't listen to most of the negative reviewers because they obviously have never played the original and thus have no idea what they're looking at. So jaded gamers aside this IS the original in nearly every respect save for a few missing animations.Now I do I have one grief about this and that's the controls. The fact that the pointer automatically snaps back to the middle of the screen due to the use of the stick makes it sometimes challenging to play. They probably would of been better off utilizing the 3ds touchscreen. Overall it's still a great game and yes the graphics are the same as they were but still it's a goodie, worth a look if you're new or nostalgic alike.

I bought this because I played a Myst game many years ago, I hope that it would be as good, but it's kind of slow and it feels old. I usually don't mind the "old feel" in games, is just that being a 3DS game it could have incorporated something more. Good puzzles, as most Myst games have.

Its good but could have remastered graphics and controls better

I would say hoenstly as a big gamer in the past but trying to hold onto the habit that this game from first impression was going to be where you touch the bottom touchscreen to move around but turned out to require using the joystick to move around and really lacked any 3d effect as the 3ds offers. trying to enter the spaceship age was difficult considering you had to move the 5 switches but trying to move them in a veritical line took more steady hand then i was willing to commit and after putting in about 40 minutes to do a 30 second task to get access to the spaceship age it was a struggle but i managed to get into it eventually. the only other headache had to be in the ending with the crystal puzzles and even following a walkthrough i couldn't solve it doing the steps required. overall i mean it was nostalgic taking me back to the late 80's or early 90's when the game was hot on the market but honestly i wouldn't say it was worth it in the idea of having a fun experience on the 3ds game system.

I was pretty disappointed with this game. As mentioned by other reviews the controls are downright painful to use. When you move the cursor around the screen and then release the control pad, the cursor annoyingly snaps back to the middle of the screen. I played this game way back when it first came out on PC. This is nowhere near as fun. Really disappointed and probably won't play it much.

It's great to have a classic PC game released on a handheld. Takes me back every time I play it!

throws me back in time to playing it on the tower. bit of a pain in the arse moving around but all in all it's the Myst from before and I like it
