Takes time to set up
The laser head is not the problem with this package. The problem lies in the tripod, while not heavy enough to support a camera that is not the point, the laser head doesn't need a lot of heft in the tripod to steady the laser, what it needs is a rack and pinion so that getting the line to the proper height is not the time consuming PIA that it is now. Still a great deal and worth the money and accuracy for leveling cabinets or what have you. After use comment; the counter top people came in and did their measuring in a short amount of time and commented on how consistently level all the cabinets were. The only cabinet that was a tiny bit problematic was the kitchen sink one as it was plastic instead of wood like all the others. Even that though only took a few minutes to fix. Now to look for another project to use it on!

Worth the money tripod works well to.
Unit works very well inside well worth the money but not to be used outside it is not bright enough.

Calibration off!!
Once I got the level I checked the calibration and it was off by 1/4 in a 15ft distance. I did the simple test where you turn the level 180 degrees and measure again. That is a lot more than what the specification of +-1/64 in a 32 ft distance. Based on this I can not recommend this brand. I got it for the better than the dewalt accuracy on paper but not real life.

POWERSMITH laser measure saves time!
I am a measure tech for a large home improvement company. I measure flooring, bathrooms, counter tops, new kitchens and kitchen refacing. My tapemeasure gets used a lot, i mean A LOT! After awhile of constant usage, the edges of the tape would get little nicke, and my fingers would get cut. Once the tape gets these little nicks, it's not long before the tape rips apart. A 30 to 35 foot tape runs about $30 or $40. Trying to feed the tape over, under or around furniture, boxes, and piles of clothes dumped on the floor, is a real pain in the ass.The POWERSMITH LASER has made my job soooo much better, i enjoy doing my measures . I can measure faster and more accurately. No more mental tapes breaking in the middle of a job or fingers getting cut. My POWERSMITH has paid for itself many times. Go a head buy one, you'll love it!

It works as advertised
Used it for installing wainscoting and worked really good! Because it’s not name brand I was a little worried if it would be truly level, but I checked it against my 6 ‘ stabila level (perhaps the best and most reliable levels in my opinion) and it was right on the money. Only cause for complaint is that one of the legs on the tripod would only lock tight at full extension and was loose otherwise, but since there are three extensions on each leg and a height adjustment in the center I could still adjust it for what height I needed easily enough.

Good
It works very well inside on a level floor, but when the floor is not level, it does not work very well (ie: outside)
