The measurements are misleading - it sounds like it will fit the Moleskine extra small notebook, but it doesn't :( I wanted to have the notebook in plus a mini pen, but it doesn't fit. It's a cute case otherwise but the internal measurements are smaller than the stated dimensions because the case is curved.

Despite acknowledging that Moleskine makes quality products that inspire intense brand loyalty, I've never hopped on the bandwagon; as a notebook enthusiast, I find most Moleskine items a tad overpriced. But when I spied this case on one of my favorite pen & paper websites, I was intrigued. I love all things 'mini' and am an organization junkie to boot. Amazon's price couldn't be beat so I took the plunge.First things first, when Moleskine calls this "XS" they really and truly mean EXTRA SMALL. Similar versions of this case are available in larger sizes so definitely peruse those if you need room for oodles of stuff or for an e-reader, camera, smart phone, etcetera. Double-check the external dimensions as Amazon has them listed under "Product Description" at mid page. My tape measure clocks them at approx 3.5" W x 5" H x 2" D. Deduct a bit for actual internal storage. Yep: Teeny!The possibilities with this case are endless if you carry a lot of tiny items (or just want to protect one or two important things). I ultimately purchased this to store travel-ready mini craft items I use for Fuji instant photography: business card-size blank card stock, mini scissors, mini pen, used film, sticker sheets, washi tape (flat pack), and a few other odds and ends. Yes, a person could use a little zippered pouch or pocket that would serve a similar purpose, but this product allows more for security, basic organization, and mobility.The back of the case has an adjustable attachment feature that allows you to affix the case to a strap--in my case, the handle of my camera bag. It takes up so little room and I appreciate that the adjustable design enables it to be tightened to a flat strap OR rounded handle--it does slide around a bit tho on my slick nylon handle. But the Velcro, a material I'm usually loathe to compliment, is impressively rugged and secure.Inside the shell there's a black terry cloth material with a netted pocket on the bottom of one side and a loop (ostensibly for a key ring) atop the opposite side. The internal features are not configurable/able to be unattached.The shell itself feels great to the touch; it's a nice low profile matte finish. The dual rubber zippers run smoothly. The stitching is well done, and the entire piece is very durable. I cannot speak for shock absorbency but *I'd* trust this with a pricey MP3 player or the like. Perfect for earbuds too.Absolutely love this to pieces and recommend it to anyone who wants to wrangle their bobby pins or hair ties or tweezers or flash drive or gate keys. Understand its limitations re: the size, and you'll never be reaching into your purse or briefcase trying to find that impossibly small item again. Travel convenient and then some. Moleskine hasn't converted me to their notebooks, but I'll definitely consider checking out more of their cases.
