Q: How to you extract the seeds from the plant?

You get seeds in the packet. We have a few castor bean plants that have sprouted (we were curious about whether they would grow or not) but haven't tried extracting seeds from the plant. The 50 seeds go a long way and it's the best remedy for moles we've had yet.

Q: Will these grow in Texas

They grow wild in Texas. We went rafting on the Guadalupe several years ago. They were growing all over the place.

Q: Looking for a quick growing potted hedge plant to separate my yard from my crazy neighbors? Good plant for that?

I love the plant ,it gets huge. try it anyway. I start in pots about middle of april and put out at last frost and baby them till they get going good. in the fall i use a chainsaw to remove. One more thing the reddish ones don't get as big. If you can afford a shrub try a hedge of limelight hydrangea. Trim to the ground every spring but fast growing and impressive flower.
