Comfy and worked
Solved the problem in a couple of weeks. Wasn't uncomfortable or too annoying. Active Innovations Trigger Finger / Thumb Splint-L

DO NOT BUY!!!
I bought this product Active Innovations Trigger Finger Solution-L - Black because it is advertised on several websites as a trigger finger splint that helps immobilize the trigger finger affected area. But the entire material is soft synthetic with absolutely no splint support at all. My fingers were not immobilized at all and were fully movable when using this product and would not heal as there is no splint support at all. Exorbitant price for a very cheap and ineffective product. DO NOT BUY!!

It helps but does not cure
Several months ago, I developed trigger finger in the third finger of my right hand several months ago. While I was surfing Amazon, I came across this "solution" and, given the price, I figured it couldn't hurt. My finger is much better now, but not back to normal, but I must say that the thing that did help the most was merely taping my third finger to my fourth for several weeks. I use this device over night. When I do, my finger is ok when I wake up; if I don't, I have a problem with it all day - that is, my finger is painful and clicks every time I bend it even slightly. So, all in all, I'm glad I ordered it, but just not for the reasons stated in the advertisement.

Good for the onset of trigger finger, but not for the reason you'd expect...
This isn't a splint, so just flat out don't expect that. If you have severe trigger finger, you'd probably be best to not even bother. That said, I had a painless nodule at the base of my knuckle, which was the first sign of trigger finger in my left ring finger (I believe it's due to the way I hold my steering wheel).I bought this to really serve as nothing more than a reminder that offered a little more support. It does slightly limit movement of that finger, but more importantly it pads the finger and reminds me to stop gripping so hard. After wearing this for about two weeks, the nodule is slowly disappearing, so for that I'm happy that I made the purchase. That said, it's not effective at really doing what it's designed to do: to immobilize a finger. For that, it would need some type of structural support instead of being a glorified piece of foam.Point being, set your expectations low. Like I said, if you have severe trigger finger, DO NOT BOTHER. If you need a simple reminder to stop using a certain finger, it does the job.

Not sure it works
The literature describing it's use is a little murky, but apparently the purpose is to protect the pad of flesh at the base of the finger. I had been using a finger splint to keep my finger from popping at the joint, and originally thought that this was supposed to do the same thing, in a less obtrusive way. But, while it does slightly inhibit that movement, it's not enough- so I went back to the splint. If it were long enough to cover the knuckle too it would be better. I did, however, glue an additional piece of neoprene to it to make a good protector from my kayak paddle, which may have been the cause of my condition.

Helped my terrible finger pain
I had terrible finger pain -- and I'm a ventriloquist/puppeteer so when that happens iI have problems. This was my favorite little device to put on my finger. It was my middle finer on my left hand. It would hurt when I tried to raise it. If the middle finger on your left hand hurts and you can't use it, in California they call it a driving disability. I liked this product so much I had ordered others and I ordered a second. And YES after using it and taking some other measures the problem went awway.
