Easy to use and doesn’t take up much room
We’ve only had this coffee maker for a week. But, it is light, easy to clean, easy to use, and the coffee comes out great. There were comments on the noise from other posts, but it has an average amount of steam noise. Our $200 coffee maker, prior to this, made much more noise, wasted more water, was not as well made, and was bulky and clumsy. I’m a huge fan of the Cappresso CM300 10 cup.

Just Hope Nothing Goes Wrong with It
I purchased this coffee maker for my 94-year-old mother in law, who had had Capresso coffee makers for decades. It seemed a little flimsy, but it made good coffee. Then, randomly, when my husband prepared to make coffee at his mother’s, the coffee maker was already warm, even though the power indicator light was off. In fact, it was hot enough that pouring water in it would result in it immediately brewing the water through, without turning the machine on.After this happened a few times, I contacted Capresso customer service. The coffee maker was still under warranty, so they asked me to send it in for testing. Given the problem I described, and its potential safety risk, it was baffling that they didn’t just replace it, and even more baffling how hard they worked to NOT replace it. Because Capresso couldn’t replicate this random problem, they sent the coffee maker back and told me to ‘take it up with Amazon’. I did, and within minutes, Amazon authorized a return for a refund, even though the return window had closed months before. For a few dollars more, I replaced the Capresso with a Cuisinart, and my mother in law loves it!

Keep the carafe lid clean and clog-free and this is a wonderful coffee maker for the price!
This coffee maker makes great coffee in a timely, consistent manner, just like everyone wants from their machine. The carafe is large and keeps coffee warm and drinkable for hours. The only thing that would make it better would be a removable water container and a water filter, but it's hard to find those features at this price in any coffee maker. That being said, this maker IS pretty finicky and not very forgiving. The challenge is the design of the carafe lid. There are multiple ways that coffee can end up all over your counter - if the lid is screwed on wonky, if the filter gets folded at the bottom or 2 filters get into the machine, if the lid (there are multiple ball bearings, one plastic that's the worst) gets clogged with coffee residue and grounds. Every 3 months or so, I have to soak the lid in vinegar solution (1:3) for at least 30 minutes and bang it against my hand and the sink multiple times to dislodge any grounds sticking to those ball bearings. You WILL be inundated with coffee if water doesn't run freely through the lid! Just running vinegar through the machine won't clean the lid well enough and you absolutely have to keep this machine clean. If you don't, it WILL flood your counter.

I love this coffee maker
I love this coffee maker. It makes great coffee quickly. I love the removable water reservoir as I have had fits at people for not rinsing the pot before filling former coffee makers. It is very easy to use.It should be noted though that it MUST be cleaned regularly. This is not one of those pots you can run for months before you get around to cleaning it. It seems to be affected by water impurities more than any other coffeemaker I have owned, and that is just what gets through a multiple filter.

Loud brewing. This requires a filter that is $18.99 for 3. I'd rather use a cone coffee filter
I did not do my homework on this one. Requires a filter inside water tank. I already use filtered water. Also, with the wire basket, there is silt in the last cup. Would rather use a filter for the coffee. Keeps it hot. Very loud brewing. Everyone in the house knows when the coffee brews.

Best Coffee Maker for the Money!
We had a Capresso CoffeeTEAM GS which costs three times as much as this unit. The main difference is that the GS unit has a built in grinder which never worked right from the beginning. The CM 300 makes just as good coffee and is extremely easy to clean and maintain. The water tank is removable making it easy to clean the water filter area as well. We've had this for about two months and couldn't be happier.

Disappointed in quality and lack of responsiveness from company
Disappointed in the quality. Unable to obtain replacement carafe BUT luckily I had held on to the carafe for the coffee maker I was replacing and it fifts--Capresso 4440.01 10-cup Stainless Steel Vacuum Carafe with Lid for Capresso MT500 and MT500 Plus Coffee Maker. Made coffee quickly. Terrible problems with first cup being poured dripping. Until the carafe broke we resorted to removing lid and pouring the first cup. A pain. I wrote to Capresso for information regarding a replacement carafe and they never responded. Would not purchase again.

My new favorite coffeemaker
I have had a zojirushi for 8 years and it finally died. I was crushed to see it was discontinued. This looked similar and around the same price so I tried it. It brews really fast, I love the removable water tank, great cup of coffee, and is more compact for my small kitchen. The price was very similar to what I paid 8 years ago for my old one.
