I initially bought this helmet because of the comfortable fit on my head the lightweight feel, and the excellent ventilation. It was a very comfortable helmet to wear. I recently had a catastrophic accident where I was thrown from my horse when a bed of deer leaped up almost underneath us. I broke my back in three places and am currently in a body brace for 8 weeks, however what I did NOT half was a head injury. I landed flat on my back, and I heard the helmet crack against the hard ground that I fell on. But I have never even had a tender spot on the back of my head. I am thankful that my head was one thing I never had to worry about during the assessment of my injuries. I will be buying another one of these!

On our second one, now. Had the first for 3 weeks before my daughter got thrown off a spooked horse. Hard fall but no concussion nor head injury. She fell hard on her shoulder and head. We originally bought this because her previous helmet didn't protect her from a concussion on her previous fall. As a cyclist, I've loved MIPS since it came out. So, we bought this one and it saved her brain! The most recent fall was MUCH worse than the previous fall that ended in a concussion. Great investment!!

The helmet is a gorgeous dark navy color and fits perfectly. At first I thought it was too small but adjusted the back adjustment and then it fit my head to a tee. Love it, also like the MIPS technology, which I have on my skiing and bike riding helmets. Also came with a nice storage bag.

I lease an horse and take lessons twice a week so I’m riding about 4 days a week. I wanted a helmet with the mips system and chose this one. On the THIRD time using this helmet, I accidentally took a head dive off the horse cantering over a cross rail and I landed on my forehead and face. I felt the helmet hit and my first thought was how grateful I was that I bought it. I suffered no head damage and have only some road rash on my face from the arena sand. The helmet is light weight and comfortable. I highly suggest it and am glad I got it when I did!

I was looking for a helmet with MIPS technology without breaking my bank when I came across this. This is a great helmet for the price. It has MIPS technology, is very lightweight, and I love the adjustable turn in the back to secure as needed. The only downside (for me) is the back and sides are kind of shallow, I’d like for them to come down further. I wonder if ever did fall and hit my head if this would protect the back enough or even the sides if I fell at an odd angle, which is likely when horseback riding. That is the only reason I’m deducting 1 star. Other than that, great value for an ACTUAL affordable riding helmet.

Very light, comfortable and protective. I don’t feel any weight when my horse is trotting or cantering. I don’t even feel I am wearing the helmet. I strongly recommend UVEX to any riders. Its helmets are professionally safe. I look cool with my helmet on. If possible, I would ask for sponsorship for my stable.

I am very pleased with this helmet. It is easy to adjust to size with the adjustment wheel in the back, and the chin strap is easy to click on and off. MIPS is not a must, but certainly an enhancement. This is a great helmet for a very good price.
