Not a reliable long-term prospect
I was very happy with the bike initially, and it even rode well without power, but the pedal bearings went very soon after I got it - cheap and easy to fix, but a sign of things to come. Ten months in and relatively light use the bottom bracket started creaking and needed replacement - all fine then eighteen months in there was a grinding noise intermittently from the motor area, and once the wheel locked up - I took it in to my local e-bike shop and they told me the gearbox had gone - I had to have a whole new motor and gearbox unit - now I'll see how it goes.

The way to go!
I've been getting around on my CS2 for the last two years and I still haven't stopped smiling! All the joys and convenience of cycling with a minimum of effort. It costs 5p to charge the battey and it goes for about 30 miles depending on the terrain. This is one of the best things I've ever bought, definitely the way to go!

200 miles in and the motor's gone......
So... after less than 200 miles and about 2 years (so pretty light use) the motor has gone, and very little help from the usually helpful staff at the distributor / importer (E-Bikes Direct). Lots of promised calls that they would ring me back to take an order for a replacement motor but never have..... !!Hopefully I have sourced a replacement motor on Ali express - other wise the bike is just a pretty piece of junk as without the motor it's useless due to weight and gearing. - Very disappointing for what was such a promising acquisition.

great low cost ebike
ive had this bike for a year got it on the cycle to work scheme its a great bike i ride 18 miles a day to work and back and still have at least 25% battery left, the assist levels 1 to 5 are good. level 1 little or no assist, level 2 slighty better, level 3 things get intresting and you can really feel the motor doing its work. level 4 and your starting to fly, level 5 your going flat out .i prefer to use level 3 it keeps me at a steady 12-13 mph with is sufficient for most cycle commutes and saves on the battery.the throttle is usefull at lights but is limited to 6mph legal requirment .the battery could be better this is 9ah would prefer an option for a larger battery capcity .ive swapped out the seat with a more comfy one personal preferance there not really anything wrong with the original.also mud guards and lights are essential.other than this ive had no problems with this bike over 1500 miles ridden.
