Uncontrollable unless you want only a big Bluetooth soundbar
Easy to connect using 3.5mm jack. Nice sound. That's the good news. The remote control is pathetic, no, it's worse than pathetic. It's a nasty cheap little thing. The soundbar doesn't go into a proper power save until you've held the on/off button down for ages (10 to 12 seconds) which doesn't always work so may need multiple attempts. The unit has Bluetooth, it's always in discovery mode and needs no confirmation, so anyone nearby (such as the neighbours idiot children) can hijack it. Bluetooth takes priority over over sound sources so it will switch off the TV sound in preference to Bluetooth which cannot be disabled. The Bluetooth stack has a circular queue of 8 devices, add a ninth and the first gets removed, so you can't even pair with 8 of your own devices and stop it pairing with more, it will simply un-pair your first device.

Amazing Sound!
I have tried the following 3 soundbars before settling with the Q3.1. Bose Solo 52. Azatom Stealth Bar3. Samsung JWAlthough bose did a perfect job in delivering crystal clear sound, it did lack a bit of bass. The Azatom had solid bass but the sound quality wasn’t appealing and would fall off from the stand due to vibrations (poor engineering). Samsung was just ok. But wow, Q3 has proved itself to be the top of class. I have had it for about 6 months and I can say that this soundbar excels in delivering powerful music or cinematic experience. Dont expect it to shake your walls. But its ideal for watching tv or listening to music. If you are just after having an upgrade to the dull tv sound then I recommend bose 5. Although it doesnt have capability to connect a subwoofer which would have been excellent, I have still given 5 stars because it simply is the best for its purpose. I use this with my samsung smart tv connected with ARC to Firetv stick. The remote control is very small but we rarely use it and just use the firetv remote to switch the tv and soundbar on. As seen in the pocture, we keep it in the middle shelf on our tv table and the speaker is solid built and doesnt rumble the glass and vibrate like the azatom did.

Quality Unit Quality Audio Improves Movies Great little Soundbar at a good price
I needed a soundbar for a second tv after replacing my BOSE 123 due to its size, but didnt want to spend a fortune or have loads of wires, woofers speakers etc..after reviewing the options, reviews and price this Qacoustic M3 came in out front of anything else. I have Q Acoustic 2030 speakers already, so knew they were good on audio, but was pleasantly surprised how good the sound on this was. I am not a perfectionist audiophile, but i do like a good sound, this is a good sound.Pros:1. Great for playing music from phones/tablets via bluetooth--impressive sound quality, surround effect and clarity for such a small box ...and the volume!!2. Once set up on TV really impressive sound upgrade for movies--surprisingly good and a real sense of surround--better than any 2.1 or virtual systems I have had in the past3. Compact and sits perfectly under the TV4. BASS from such a small single unit is surprising it really does not miss having a sub woofer.5. it is quite easy to set it up on a universal remote--which is just as well6. Quality build it feels solid and expensive, imho is high quality constructionCons--for indeed there are always some1. Remote is simply pathetic, it is small, and ineffective (so hurrah for point 5 in pros)-- this is most dissapointing thing about bar, no quality at all, small, plasticy, limited buttons and frankly you will never use it--so bank on getting or using a universal..contrast my previous system where the bose remote became my universal remote.2. I did have the probelm of hopping in and out of Bluetooth as reported by others, and was at one point thinking I would have to pack it and send it back, but eventually established that this problem only occurred when i was using the Soundbar connected to ARC. it is on a 8+ yr old TV, was surprised it even had ARC when I checked before buy, so it is possible the fault is on the TV ARC. I meant to check Bar on my main TV arc to see if perhaps that was the issue, but never got around to it! once connected to the Optical cable it has worked flawlessly and the dropping out, as it looked for bluetooth, went away. So could be the soundbars ARC set up, could be age of my tv and its ARC, dont know but on optical cable it works perfectly, on ARC i had issues (as reported by others) with dropping out as it went constant hunting for BT.3. Instructions are a bit limited so really understanding which colour means what on the box is a little trial and error. So to summarise overall I love this soundbar, it feels quality, it sounds quality, enhances movie sound, has impressive bass, is compact and a good price (my pre purchase requirements). There are a few niggles but then I had some with my main set up at 3x the price and twice the size! so none of the cons are bad enough to drop a star for me. Would i replace my LG SL8YG on my main TV with it? No, but tbf it runs it close and would not be a total let down. Noting I wouldnt replace this on my second TV with the LG either because it wouldn't fit in!

Quick Start instructions
Value for money, quality product and nicely packaged. Enhanced our joy of watching Netflix and other films on freeview as against the poor quality speakers from our Sony TV . Should have made the purchase sooner.Dont expect the sound bar to perform as the Quick Start instructions suggest - It would not provide any sound when the TV was switched to HD or Netflix. Spent a lot of time checking and reading the set up process but had to go online to down load the full manual . Eventually i identified that the Sony TV sound had to be switched to PCM mode. Ok where to find the PCM mode was the next question ? Spent further time reading the tv manual and then locating PCM on the TV. If you haven't got the patience to do all this then find someone who has. The above comment should not deflect you from buying the product as when set up it is absolutely great.

Fabulous soundbar
Fantastic..sounds brilliant, makes films come to life, I can finally hear everything on the TV, not just bits..simple to set up, hdmi, then power and off you go..No problems putting on wall either..just two screws...I'd heard the Q4 before but I think this matches it..I would recommend this to anyone who wants a really top quality soundbar
