I may be just a little in love!
As the headline says really.I'm very very impressed with this piece of equipment - and I'm not easily impressed. My house isn't large...but it has a lot of windows in it & a big conservatory so cleaning the windows is a real drag. After a mammoth session last month which as normal took ages I thought.... sod this for a game of soldiers...and put my hand in my pocket and bought one of these. In truth I am now kicking myself for being a right tight arse and not having bought one before! It's lightweight and very simple to use. The bummer is that a task that has always taken me the better part of 2 1/2 hours to complete inside and out, took no more than 50 minutes! Gutted or what? But at the same time so very chuffed to bits.I've now used it on windows, tiles, mirrors, shower screens, car windows, horsebox windows....anywhere flat it works. It's extremely simple to use albeit the set-up instructions are in picture format and they are...interesting.I've seen people complain that they can't get a streak free clean with this. I don't understand why...but after working it out within the space of 5 minutes here's a few tips for you...1. Make sure the window is properly wet with the cleaning fluid. (Other products work well, but the Karcher window shine is really well worth the money).2. Vaccuum the window BUT make sure you don't go over any dry area or you will hear a squeak. If there's a squeak...likely you'll get a streak. This is very simply remedied however by having a lint free cloth with you. Get a squeak...look for the steak...quickly wipe over and it will disappear very quickly.3. To get the best clean, wipe the rubber at the end of the head now and again.4. I also don't worry about any wet bits around the edge and simply just wipe round the edge of the window once.Sparkly sparkly windows...happy happy person! The charge time is as it states on the info (mine perhaps a few minutes quicker) and I can easily do most of the house on the available charge. This model also comes with LED lights which tell you how much charge you have available, so there's no reason to get caught short.Absolutely excellent piece of kit. Right...off to pry it out of the Hubby's hands as he's now using it on the outside of the horsebox after it's wash!

Wow!
Wow - who would have thought it was possible to get excited about window cleaning! Love this item. Was slightly apprehensive regarding comments about streaking and 'proper use'. Purchases never seem to be quite as good/easy to use as advertised. Tried it out as soon as it arrived, going very carefully at first, however works just as well if you move quickly. Perfect results. Was so delighted I cleaned most of our windows - and we have A LOT. Saves so much time. Also used it on our large stainless steel fridge and granite work surface, excellent result. Discovered tiny splatters of paint on one glass door where my husband had used a roller to paint. Used hot water and washing up liquid with a non-stick scourer to remove those. Karcher worked just as well, even though I worked up a massive amount of bubbles. Would use washing up liquid again.I wonder if people having trouble with streaks are being too economical with with fluid on large areas so that it is doing before it is removed? It is very light and easy to use with arthritic hands. Seems well made and strong enough to last. If you are wondering whether to buy one or not, go ahead. Wish I had had one of these years ago. Still admiring the windows this morning!

Excellent bit of kit
I use this to remove condensation as I've a very old house with single pane glass and wooden windows so to try and get the moisture out and avoid it running onto the wood. Works superbly and has enough suction power to pull the water droplets off even if you cant quite get the head over a section of glass (e.g. where locks are etc.). Easy to drain (each of my sash windows fills about 1/3rd at worst) and battery seems to last forever.

which is water with a bit of baby shampoo I used the vac to dry them with a perfect clean finish
I read a lot of reviews on these. I decided on this one because the battery can be changed unlike the earlier ones. I read a lot saying it is not smear free and to be honest I think it depends on your technique. I had smears at the beginning but not now so much. The hardest thing I find is to get edges dry. So I just run a kitchen towel around the edges when I am done. The windows sparkle and it is very quick. I was tinting my camper and because the windows were already wet with what you use to tint, which is water with a bit of baby shampoo I used the vac to dry them with a perfect clean finish. So I just use that on my house windows, also mirrors and it works great. I think smears happen if the liquid is drying up or you havent put enough on. Put quite a lot on and very gently slide the squidgy down at an even speed, works great for me. Once charged it shows 3 green lights, they go out as the power runs down which gives you plenty of warning. The early ones dont do that. Great piece of kit. I think with anything you buy the only way to find out if it is any good is to try it yourself :-)
