The Best Fire TV Yet!!
I own 2 Fire TV Cubes 2nd Gen, 1 Fire TV Cube 1st gen, 1 Fire TV Max, 3 Fire TV 4K Sticks, 1 Omni Fire TV and 1 Insignia Fire TV. To say that I am invested in the Fire TV Echo System is an understatement. I can state that the Fire TV Cube 3rd Gen is by far the best of the Fire TV's sold by Amazon. I replaced one of my 2nd Gen Fire TV Cubes and the set up was super easy with integration to my Wifi and downloading of already owned apps a breeze. (setting up the passwords for all the apps continues to be a pain and took a long time to do). The aesthetics of this Fire TV is the best of the lot, it looks really premium. The interface is the same as the others however, the speed of navigation is fantastic. It is really fast making it a real joy to use. The Wifi 6E is supported however I can't tell the difference in the speed, but I can tell you that application buffering is really almost non existent. I have a T-Mobile 5G Gateway that averages 306 Mbs and supports wifi 6E, so perhaps that does make a difference. I have this cube attached to an LG 4K 65 inch TV and use a Yamaha 800 sound bar (attached via an optical cable). My Fire TV also controls a Sony DVD player, and Sony Playstation. I can switch between all HDMI inputs with no problem by voice. I do think that the 3rd gen cube produces a better sound quality through my Yamaha sound bar since it does support a wider range of output. Alexa works flawlessly as well, so no complaints. . So my net net is 1) Really fast performance, 2) better sound quality, 3) looks like a premium streaming device with the cloth enclosure, 4) very nice upgraded remote, 5) Alexa works great at controlling my TV and Sound Bar, 6) Integrated IN and OUT HDMI connectivity ports (which I don't use). My only negative is that one of the hot key's on the remote is Direct TV, which I would never use and would love to be able to change it. Also for the price, Amazon should have included the premium remote (backlit) with this Fire TV.I would recommend this Fire TV Cube 3rd Gen for your main viewing area over all other Fire TVs. I would buy this on sale vs. the list price. I was able to purchase this Cube for $119 plus my trade in. In my book speed is king and this Fire TV will not disappoint you. I am confident that I will be using this Fire TV for the next 5 years minimum.

Works great, I take it everywhere I travel
This little device has been awesome. It works really well and has been super reliable. I take it with me everywhere I travel, and it always makes it easy to watch my favorite shows, no matter where I am. Super compact, fast, and easy to set up. If you travel a lot or just want a solid streaming device, this one’s totally worth it!

Great for Starters, Meh for Upgraders
I've had two 2019 Gen2 FireTV Cubes in my house (Living Room & Bedroom) for three years now, love them both. I didn't really feel a "need" to upgrade either, but being kind of a tech-nerd and always wanting the best tech at least in my Living Room, I thought I'd check this out and upgrade the Cube in my Living Room.In a nutshell, if you're new to FireTV, or have something really old (anything 1st Gen), this is a really great device and I can heartily recommend it.If you're upgrading a FireTV device of something relatively recent (2nd Gen FireTV Cube or FireStick 4K Max), I'm going to be honest, unless you're looking for a very specific feature this device offers yours doesn't, this is a rather "meh" upgrade and you may not notice the upgrade much, if at all.Features "upgraded" over 2nd Gen FireTV Cube:1) WiFi 6E (over old WiFi 5)... to be honest, this is probably the most solid upgrade of all, but I never really had a major problem with it being on WiFi 5 before. (I was getting 450 download speeds on my WiFi 6 Gen-3 Cube and 290 download speeds on my WiFi 5 Gen-2 Cube).2) Faster Processor... well, this is nice... menus load and move quickly.3) Dedicated Ethernet Port... that is... sadly 10/100 speed max... no Gigabyte port... this is a bummer, you'd actually get FASTER speeds using the WiFi 6E.4) Video Upscaling... to be honest... I'm not noticing much of a difference here... I suppose it's better than nothing, but you won't be waking the kids and phoning your mom over this.5) *HDMI-IN pass through... I suppose if you're short on HDMI connections this is good, but not really all that amazing on its own.6) **USB-A Port... that is... sadly just USB-2... not 3, not C. Another let-downThe first two upgrades are nice, but not game changers... the last two, well... make you feel like it's 2010 all over again... sad "upgrades" really and scream of "not even trying".One other "upgrade" I almost forgot to mention... the "new" *remote... it's got a lot more buttons... why? I don't know... they added a bunch of buttons just not needed... cable channel up/down? Is this 2010 again? If you've cut the cord, you probably don't need these buttons, just wasted clutter... shortcuts to apps you either don't use or can access with a simple "Alexa, switch to Hulu"... why do we need all these extra buttons? The new remote might have been useful to me years ago when I actually had a cable box, but in 2022, they are just completely pointless and add unnecessary clutter. I was curious if my (old) 2018 2nd Gen Alexa Voice Remote (seen in my attached picture) from my old FireTV Cube would work with the new one... guess what, it does! Hooray, I left the "new" remote in the box, never going to use it, I'll keep using my older, simpler, got ONLY the buttons I need on the remote... I got the direction wheel, up/down volume and mute... don't really need anything else.Once again, if you're new to FireTV or have something rather old, this is worth the money... but if you have a recent FireTV device, probably best to use your money elsewhere unless you simply must have the latest tech... as for me, I'm going to stand-pat... it was nice for the living room, but it's not worth upgrading my 2nd Gen FireTV Cube in the bedroom to this.EDIT:A couple of things I should have mentioned or clarified* On the HDMI pass-through (and new many added-buttons remote), this does have a niche-case... if you're still using a Cable Box in 2022, you can run the Cable Box through the HDMI port on the Cube and combined with the "cable channels up/down" buttons, run your cable box directly from the Cube (as well as voice commands, like "Alexa, switch to ESPN on Cable"). Like I did mention earlier, I wish I had this years ago, but I've long-since cut the cable, so this is "too little, too late" for me... but if you still use a Cable Box, this Cube is for you!** That USB-2 port... in relation to the sad built-in Ethernet port. While the Ethernet Port limits you to 10/100 speeds, you can buy a USB-A Ethernet dongle, plug it into the Cube's USB-A port and actually get much faster Ethernet Speeds... sadly USB-2 does limit Ethernet speeds to 400mbps, but you'll probably get around 300 or so with the dongle which is 3-times faster than the built-in Ethernet port... so that USB-2 port does have a use.

A great upgrade from generation 2 Fire TV
Extremely impressed and happy with this newest model of Fire TV Cube. I can connect via ethernet net as well as add external USB flash drive storage. This cube was easy to set-up connection to my internet/router and both my TV and my receiver, plus the Alexa integration has made it practically hands free operation. Functionality has been flawless - changing chanels, adjusting volume, etc. The only disappointment is that many apps are not moveable to the external drive, but that's not the fault of the cube. Those that do move do work almost as quickly as if they were loaded internally. This unit is a great new design, and I would recommend it to any fire stick user looking for more versatility and elimination of most buffering issue.
