Longer than I was expecting, just fitted in the space allocated! But the extra space on the flat top is great for extra storage.

Came well packaged. Nice looking and storages plenty inside and because it's a flat top you can sit something on top too. Very pleased would recommend.

£35 for the best bread bin you will ever own. If bread bins had an annual competition for the best bread bin this would win that competition. It looks great, functions great, feels premium quality and doesn't mark with fingerprints.

I was looking for a bread bin and saw this on offer so thought I'd treat myself to a Brabantia, my bread deserve to live it's lost days of life in quality!It is a lovely bread bin, it's sleek design and metallic shine look fantastic, it's lightweight, easy to clean and has a nice flat too so you can stop jars or similar on top of it.But, my one downfall is the capacity. The description says it can fit 2 loaves, but in my experience that isn't true. Maybe it is if your are buying artisan bread, but I can't fit 2 full size loaves of white 7 wholemeal Kingsmill or Hovis in here with having to squish them a bit! Which is a shame as it's great otherwise, but i've never seen or had a bread bin that can't fit 2 in with room to spare before.

Bigger than expected. It would hold 2 or 3 loaves. Not for a small kitchen. But it is quality

Only the large one was available when I ordered and I thought it would be too big but to be honest it’s an ideal size. Two full loaves is actually a bit of a squeeze but it’s ideal for a big loaf and rolls etc.Can easily store tea/coffee jars on top so can use it even if counter space is limited.

Considering the price of the product I was expecting something a bit more substantial. It's very thin metal and quite tinny. No rubber feet on the bottom either so it slides all over the place on the work top, I've since been and bought some rubber feet to stop this happening. Not really sure how long this will last only time will tell. On a plus side it looks nice, is a good size, and does indeed seem to repel finger marks all over it.

Found the cheapest price for this bread bin on Amazon. John Lewis and other big stores were much more expensive. Looks great in kitchen and holds a lot inside

Parfaite pour mettre 2 voire 3 pains complets, très esthétique hormis les petits rivets argentés. Matte donc traces de doigts mais pas de problème ça part facilement. Conserve très bien le moelleux.

The Brabantia 33460 bread box that I purchased, in black, is very sleek and elegant; it has that classic "black monolith" look. The roll-top door closes by gravity, and there is no latch, so if you have a need to keep critters out of your breadbox, this design might not suit.The box is well-designed and functional. As other reviews have noted, the sides are a fairly thin steel; I'm not sure why they should be stronger, and it would weigh too much if the material were much thicker. But across the middle of the top, where the door retracts, the metal is rolled for reinforcement. Similarly, the edges are well-joined and reinforced. The front-bottom of the door has a metal strip over the top that is slightly curved, for a very sleek appearance and an effect that serves as a sort of "handle" to grab the door. Apparently if you prefer a more obvious and smaller handle, you can swap this out for the "small grip", Brabantia part# 381522.One reason that I selected this breadbox was that the non-door area of the top is flat, and suitable for storing items on top. I suspect that, like my past Brabantia box, one could stack these if desired. I just use the top for overflow items that I feel comfortable leaving in the open.The surfaces of this breadbox -- interior and out -- are a matte-black powdered finish that seems more durable than most breadbox coatings, and seems likely chip-resistant; it doesn't have that "painted" shiny look, and should hide fingerprints well.Being a thoughtful company that makes high-quality items, Brabantia includes a plastic spacer for the back of the box, that is supposed to reduce any possible noise from metal vibration. It's touches like these, and the 10 year guarantee, that make this breadbox well worth the price.
