Teaches you to set wood on fire creatively, not just emotionally!
This book? Total hot stuff. It walked me through pyrography like a patient, slightly flammable friend. From “which end of the tool goes where” to “how to make leaves that don’t look like burnt spaghetti,” it’s got everything a beginner needs to go from clueless to lowkey artisan.Clear instructions, great exercises, and enough technique to make my wife feel like she is one burned coaster away from opening an Etsy shop called “Smokin’ Art.”10/10 - would scorch with style again.

A great book for pyrography beginners
A slim volume, but it covers a lot of information. I'm a pyrography novice, and found the techniques to be explained clearly in an accessible manner.

Basic but good
It's a really basic book but gives a grand little overview of a few techniques and some patterns. Found these a little outdated but I suppose that's in the eye of the beholder. If you want more details on maintaining your tools and have a wood burning kit that comes with loads of exchangeable parts, this may not be for you as doesn't cover those. Came with a voucher for more free patterns so might try them.

Early delivery, book good for beginners
I like the layout of this book, clear pictures and directions, I bought a pyrography set for Christmas, but as with anything technical good guidance is essential and this is excellent

Good ideas to start you off
Has most of the basics as you would expect. Would like a little more step by step breakdown but that is probably being fussy. Will certainly get you started with tips and ideas for your projects. Getting stuck in and have a go seems to work for me, then refer back to the book to correct any issues. The author has lots of patterns available on her website.
