Great device and makes the best hot chocolate
This makes dreamy hot chocolate and it's the perfect temperature to drink. Easy to clean and use. Neat and tidy and stores away nicely in the tea cupboard

A perfect product
I bought this because Dualit also make Hotel Chocolat's Velvetiser. I had hoped this would word similarly, and it absolutely does. The main differences are 1. Price 2. Functions 3. Whisk size.1. The Dualit milk frother is ~£50. The Velvetiser is ~£100.2. The Dualit milk frother has a warm froth, warm and cool froth setting. The Velvetiser has only the latter two settings.3. The Dualit milk frother has a finer whisk. The Velvetiser has a more coarse whisk. The finer whisk means it creates hot, frothy, velvety milk easily. My concern was that it would struggle with hot chocolate flakes, but it operates just as well as the Velvetiser does.I've used this with hot chocolate powder, hot chocolate flakes (not the Hotel Chocolat ones though) and iced coffee powder. It worked excellently with all three, though I would recommend (in line with Dualit) you don't use it with hot chocolate powder just because this is laden with sugar, and can cause burning. Chocolate flakes are the way to go! I would recommend the warm milk setting for hot chocolate.I've also used to froth plant milks as well as cows milks, and it froths them all well for use in coffee (I used the barista versions of oat, rice and coconut milk, I used ordinary soy milk). It heats the milk to the perfect temperature, and holds enough frothy milk for two coffees. It is very very quiet - far more so than I was expecting; it's far far quieter than the coffee machine or kettle. It's also very easy to clean. I put in cold water after I've used it to the max line with a drop of washing up liquid, and set it to go on the warm setting; it effectively cleans itself.Overall I would recommend, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

Lovely jubbbly, bubbly milk
Purchased as my Gaggia coffee machine isn't working currently and I miss my frothy coffees! The Dualit milk frother is both easy to use and clean and quick to produce either hot or cold milk for your favourite drinks.I like its simple style and hope it endures, I've been pleased with the quality of other Dualit products, they're not best value, it was a shame this wasn't on anykind of promotion when purchased but time will tell if it is worth the money, so far so good and I'm ejnjoying my chai lattes!

Makes a lovely frothy milk
So far, so good. Having read a few of the negative reviews regarding product quality I was a little concerned. But, as it has a 12 month guarantee, and I've had no trouble returning stuff to Amazon, I decided it was worth giving it a go anyway. Glad I did. It makes excellent warm milk for a latte, and superb foam for a cappuccino. It is easy to clean and heats up quick. Its better than the previous electric milk frother that I had, which had given up after four years use, and better than the Nespresso Aeroccino that I have at work. The instructions say to use low fat milk where possible, as they say this gives a better foam. I previously believed that full fat milk was better for foaming, but have now used all types of milk and would agree that the low fat milk is the best for a tight, firm, foam. It still works OK with semi and full milk though, and if using the warming rather than frothing setting, I doubt you'd notice any difference (other than in your waistline!).The only negative is that it can drip when you pour. If pouring all the milk out in one cup its fine, however if you pour a little milk out then return the jug to upright (to mix your hot chocolate powder before filling with milk completely, or if sharing the milk between multiple cups, for example), it can dribble down the side. Not a major issue, just needs care when pouring. It looks smart (well, as smart as a milk frother can be!) and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality, easy to use, milk frother.

Excellent little addition to the kitchen
The media could not be loaded. I wanted to buy the hotel chocolat veletiser but this seemed like a cheaper option. I particularly like steamed milk with coffee syrup and bought this to make these. I hear the milk in this and then add flavoured syrup to the cup. I have added hot chocolate powder to the machine although I’m not sure you are supposed to do this. I just add it as it is going round to the top rather than it being added before the milk. The product is easy to use and I makes a good foam to the milk even when using skimmed milk. One problem it does have is the pouring of the milk as it has no spout but it generally works fine. Cleaning is easy but obviously can’t immersed in water.I’ve had this while now and it is really good for curbing my craving for coffee shop milky drinks so has been a money saver in the longer term.

Great drinks - lots of flaws
Quick and easy hot chocolate maker - really simple to set up and use. It’s has a lot of functions (flat white, hot chocolate, mocha, milkshake) it has a few issues though -1) it’s really awkward to clean the hot chocolate basket (I use chocolate beads and they don’t melt properly and get all over the basket)2) it looks cheap and feels tacky - it’s wrapped in a plastic coating and you can really see the seam it’s a poor finish.3) it’s pretty big to hold when pouring - and it’s not particularly light.4) it doesn’t beep or make a sound when it’s finished - the light goes out but that’s it.5) if you make 1 drink then clean it, then make another it burns the milk really bad and it’s a pain to clean6) it’s materials and simplistic build and parts mean that it looks and feels cheap - but it’s not cheap - I would have paid thirty pounds for this, but for nearly sixty pounds it’s way overpriced.
