Snapware 10.8-Cup Airtight Rectangle Food Storage Container, Plastic

I had recently purchased this Snapware Airtight storage container in a larger size, but wanted one that would stack on top of it in my pantry - these are PERFECT! For those that have trouble with the seals, I find it helpful to follow Snapware's instructions, which is printed on the back of the label. You need to take everything apart, take the gaskets out, wash all the parts with warm soapy water and let them dry completely. After you reassemble, the won't let the air in! They're not meant to be submerged in water, but it does state that on the instructions as well! If you follow the directions, they won't smell funny and will remain airtight.I found this size was perfect for rice, panko crumbs and other baking supplies. I love baking and cooking, and find it helpful if I can scoop ingredients out of a container, which is not only easier, but keeps them fresh as well. I plan on buying a lot more, Snapware has a lifetime guarantee, so I don't see how you can lose with these wonderful containers!

I simply love my snapwares.. Recently I decided to give my pantry a makeover and wanted everything in airtight containers.. I really love glass but then the idea of one falling down and breaking and cleaning the glass steered me towards plastics.. I was looking for a cheaper solution and visited the dollar stores around but soon I got the idea that the pantry will never look like what I wanted with stuff picked from the dollar stores. I decided on the snapware and ordered 3 of the 23 cup size, 3 of the 17 cup size, 12 of the 10.8 cup size and 12 of the 4.5 cup size.. The footprint of all of them is the same, so they stack up nicely. To open and close the lids is so easy and they are certainly airtight.. In the 10.8 cup ones I store my dried goods, nuts, and anything that will fit.. The size of this one is great and when available I might be ordering more.. So far I really love them and they look great in my small pantry..

Snapwear rectangle storage containers are great. They fit well in my pantry and don't take up as much room as round containers. I purchased the Jumbo flip top cereal keepers for my pet's food and my large boxes of cereal, the 23-cup for my 5 lb bags of flour, sugar and rice (I simply drop the entire bag in the container), the 17 cup for beans and lentils (I can store up to 4 one-bags in each unit), and the 10.8 cup for powdered sugar and cornmeal. I bought a smaller size (2 cups) for brown sugar and powdered milk. Everything fits so nicely in my pantry. I also label everything with label tape so I can more easily identify it. The gasket in the top of the Snapwear helps to keep food fresh longer. Those annoying flour moths got into my other gasket-lined round plastic containers, but the Snapwear keeps everything out and the freshness in. They are easy to open and have a reassuring "snap" when closed.

I love the way it seals so well. The only drawback is storing the lids. Sometimes it’s difficult to separate them when stacked neatly. But that is a minor problem compared to the positivity add the actual container. I own Tupperware but I don’t even use them since I bought snap ware.

Good for storage!

We love that these containers are totally air-tight AND leakproof! We plan to replace ALL our plastic storage containers with these eventually. A little pricy, yes, but WORTH IT! And no residual red stains from tomato products!

Snapware makes the best food storage containers I have ever owned. This size and the 4.7-cup size  Snapware Airtight Small Rectangular Storage Container 4.7 Cup, Pack of 2 Containers  are incredibly useful. The appearance is deceiving. I am often surprised how much leftover food can fit in one container. But if you have more than one person in the household, beware! Other people will find uses for them too, and soon you won't have any empties.I bought these to replace some where the snap hinges had broken off after years of use. But now I see that there is a lifetime warranty. I should see if I can get them replaced.

This is not nearly as durable as something like Lock&Lock; do not plan to use it to refrigerate or freeze or microwave food. What I needed, though, was something with a decent seal to keep my dry-goods in (pasta, sugar, etc), and it works just fine for that. This is just the right size for a box of rotini or a bag of white sugar. I doubt the gasket will last all that many years, but for this price I didn't really expect it. It's good enough for what I'm going to use it for.

Own a few different pieces of snapware. The seal is always very good and they stack nicely. This container has lots of storage space inside, and is easy to clean.

Good product to store food. I wanted something to store my sugar since I buy in bulk to save money and this was perfect for the job!!
