Great product, maybe a little expensive but worth it.
Have been looking at replacing my current electric shaver as I wasn't quite happy with the results.I was using a Philips SensoTouch 3D, I think one of the main reasons for moving was to get the integrated cleaning stations, in the case of Braun the CCR. The Philips just required a lot of work/pressure to get those hairs around the neck.I'm actually pleasantly surprised with the Series 9, its as normal is not quite the same as a razor cut... you will never get this with one of these but its pretty damn close. The shaving experience is actually quite good, it feels like it vibrates over the skin. I've not experienced any pulling or cutting so vary safe. There is no need to push too hard, I found that if it missed anything that its better to just run the thing over a back n forth a few times, running it slowly helps also. The design/ergonomics of the device are good and with a nice weight, the carry case is a nice quality and of the hard type for when going travelling. The cleaning station comes off as a little cheap but does the job, I've yet to look at the instructions but I'm not sure there is much control over how much of a clear you want to give the shaver. As it is at the moment I would say the cleaning stations is an excellent addition to an already fantastic product, because as much as you try to clean and remove all of the hair your self the CCR manages to get those hairs you miss. The cost of the replacement Cleaning refills appear to be reasonable, but still figuring our how often a clean should occur because I think daily after use would be excessive but maybe good for maintaining the head for as long as possible. The replacement heads appear to be in short demand but cheaper than the Philips ones, but the RRP does seem to be the same... Luckily wont have to think about this for a good year or two.I think the the extra £20 quid from the series 7 to 9 is worth it, but hard to tell as I suspect the shaving experience is only a little better with the extra track that is included in the 9.Overall I recommend this.

The best shave you can get? Possibly.
I just want to say that I received the Braun series 9 9290cc free as part of a promotion by Braun. The review option here was optional, also right off the bat I am not paid to give a review nor am I employed by Braun and my review is my honest experience with the product. We have all heard of Braun products which is one of the leading brands in grooming products most specifically in hair and shaving products. The box looks the part and immediately you know you have a quality product.Opening the box you get the shaver itself. A travel case/cover for the shaver. A cleaning/charger station that plugs into the mains, (complete with the necessary cable/wire). Cleaning solution. A cleaner brush. And a manual. It looks complicated, but once setup it becomes second nature and not only will you be shaving, but also easy to use the recharge and clean feature.Unless you have been regularly using an electric shaver it feels a bit awkward but I got to grips with this after second use. This model has both dry and wet shave option and I used both.Overall a very good product and if you already use an electric shaver this one is a very good shaver, if you have been using wet shave manual razor you could give this a try, you will very, very rarely get any cuts. You shave against the hair rather than downwards you will barely get any friction or burn feeling. If I try that with a manual razor I will get burn and have to be careful in case I cut myself.I got many cuts when I tried an electric shaver years ago. This is top, near perfection. The only minor problem was that shaving there would one hair left that the machine didn't cut and missed and once that happens it seems hard to get it to cut.Very comforting easy to use and cutting edge technology.

Good shaver - hard to find all the info on it - Read this to find out
I bought the Braun 9290 shaver and have waited 6 weeks to write this review as I was totally confused by some of the reviews on here and had 45 day “like or return” window. Like you, you’ll probably want to know what’s the difference between all the 9 series shavers on here? Well like you, I was confused. There’s the 9296, 9290 and 9095. The difference between the 9095 and 9290 is easy. 9095 is the older model of the 9290 and has a blue plastic central hair mechanism whereas the 9290 has a gold titanium one. The difference between the 9290 and 9296 is limited. 9290 is silver plastic with a cleaning station and hard protective case. The 9296 is chrome plastic (same colour as the 9290 head), comes with the same cleaning station but has a leather case. The only other difference is that the 9296 and 9290 can do a wet shave with foam. The 9095 cannot. The 9290 and 9296 have recently been on prime deals for £159 and £189 respectively. Full price on here, the 9290 is approx. £220 and 9296 is £320. £100 for a different colour and leather case is A LOT. I opted for the 9290 after looking at the 9296 and 9095 and it has the best of both worlds without being silly money. That covers the differences between the models. All are fully waterproof so can be used in the shower or outside normally. Now for the selling features. On this point, Braun has to watch out for possible false advertising. You will notice on all the boxes, literature, website etc that the shaver is shown with a digital LED number 9. In all the blurb, it mentions how the shaver has an LED readout etc etc. This is true ONLY for the last 9 minutes of battery life – it’s a countdown timer. Note the 9095 doesn’t have this only bars. The rest of the time all the shavers just show a series of blue bars which is the battery life before the last 9 minutes. When mine arrived and I switched it on I was somewhat confused as even on the enclosed booklet it doesn’t mention this – so I thought I’d been sent the 9095 but it had a gold trim foil. CONFUSED! I called amazon, I was sent the right shaver but they could only read the same info on the website I could. I tried Braun’s website and help desk, same answer, couldn’t explain why there were only bars. So I have run it for the last 6 weeks knowing I can return to see what happened and finally in week 6 of quick everyday shaves, the LED panel changed. I would have preferred the LED counter to stay on the whole time as this is one of the reasons I bought it. 10 numbers are better than 5 bars.Otherwise it’s a large headed shaver with 4 elements. I moved from Braun 7 series and Philips products to this and it its good. The shave is quick and noise is less than my old ones. The shaver has a slide trimmer on the back which is pretty standard. On the front the shaver is operated by a push button to switch on and off. Hold this and a travel lock comes on. Note that it doesn’t come with a protective cover for the head so you do need to keep it in the travel pouch all the time. The new cleaning station no longer has the top and bottom locks which the old one used to have. The new one is just a “sit in” affair. The shaver has 2 electrode points on its back and these make contact with the charging/cleaning station. The charge is noisier than my old one but is a lot quicker. This is really all you need to know about the detail of the shaver.Overall if you know what you want from the above detail, go with the shaver that fits your budget – they are all pretty much the same. The 9290 is probably the better option for price vs function. It’s a good sturdy and pretty large shaver. End result is a clean smooth shave.
