Works a treat!
What an excellent antenna! I plugged it into my wireless router using one of the three antenna sockets (it only worked in one particular one, so keep trying if you have problems), secured the antenna to an aerial pole on the roof and job's a good un. You'll need an extension cable as it only comes with 1 metre (as good as useless if you're planning an external mount) but everything else you need is included, including pole mounting kit.I now have a strong wifi signal all over my garden, including in the woods at the bottom a couple of hundred metres away. Problem solved for a bargain price.

How can this be classed an outdoor Antenna?
This was my second purchased of this antenna. The original was for use in Spain, it is still at home in its packaging since, I forgot to bring it with me. Having re-ordered it when I arrived I was delighted at the fast delivery but dissapointed to find the cable too short to use it. How this can be advertised as an outdoor Antenna is beyond me, espically as the written advice is to mount it high for best reception, an impossibility with the scrag-end of a cable attached to it. The supplier should have made it clear that extra cable was required to make use of the antenna or better still to attach the maximum ammount of cable it can handle to save creating unnecessary joints that, will affect its performance. I am to say the least, dissapointed. Michael.

Good Product. Needs a longer cable supplied as part of standard kit.
We needed to catch our own signal whilst house sitting for our neighbour in the same street. Although our home router was a bit weak, this still picked up the signal when we got a good line of site. (About 20 meters down the road.) It did need to be a direct line of sight, which proved a challenge, but as I say this was likely more down to the weakness of the base router. Only downside to this kit is the short length of cable provided, hence our other purchase of a longer one (this was only 'just' long enough too.) Would suggest supplier thinks about this when selling this kit.

WiFi - Site to Site Connection
I had a few problems with site to site connection and the TP Antenna solved the issue. The site I have are less that 1/4 mile away but out door wifi are sometimes is a hit and miss. To help you out you might like to use my configuration experience.Tp-Link 901 300mb Wifi (Repeater)Tp-Link Ant2409 antenna (Two connected to this device)Tp-Link ANT2415D Onmi Direction (This is on the other site)Tp-Link 701N (Access Point)I had to do this trial and error but this is the best configuration I can get to make it work and have a stable connection. The two directional antennas are facing the onmi antenna and pick up the signal very good. I tried using just two of the antenna above on both sites and it did not have a stable enough connection.I hope this helps.

Bad range
Don't buy this... It doesn't increase my range at all.

Good distance
Bought this a year ago. It's directional and a great improvement on other antennas that have been used. This worked well and connected successfully to my wireless G router from my friends 8 (semi-detached) doors down. The flat part needs to go towards the direction of the router, like a satellite dish.Recently other networks including high power 'N' networks have swamped the signals, but it is now back as the antenna for a high power Alfa USB wireless dongle and connections are back to normal.

TP-Link TL-ANT2409A 2.4GHz 9dbi Outdoor Directional Panel Antenna
After trial of this antenna I found it not to produce any better signal than that of a rubber indoor one. After trial I found that I wished I never purchased it especialy after purchasing the Alfa 2.4/5 indoor long range antenna for Windows7, model no:AWUS051NH. I suppose you Live & learn

Planned to use this to improve signal from a distant hotspot. Unfortunately I couldn’t see a discernible improvement over the inbuilt antenna.
