EarSkinz AirPod Covers (ES3) - Charcoal - for Apple AirPods (1 & 2)

Okay, here is a no nonsense review.No they won’t fit in the case with the AirPods, yes you have to take them off in order to put the AirPods in their case. Yes it does take about 10 whole seconds to take them off and no it’s not difficult. Yes they fit the AirPods well, no they don’t interfere with the functions of the AirPods and yes the sound is the same.I’ve seen so many reviews with people moaning about having to take these off in order to put the AirPods in their case to charge. People complaining that they lost them as a result and other nonsense. If you’re clumsy or careless then yes you might lose them, you might also lose your keys or phone.Unlike other reviews I have not had any problems with Bluetooth connection or sound quality. The AirPods recognise when they are in my ears and when not. These have holes in them that line up with the ones on the AirPods, line them up properly (easily achievable within the above stated 10 seconds) and you’ll be just fine too.These fit (me) well, not too big (for my ears) and hold the AirPods securely in my ears whilst marathon training. I don’t get any of that pounding sound you can get when running with some designs of earphones.I previously tried a design that did fit inside the case. However, I found these didn’t fit that securely in my ears, and subsequently one fell out running, the cover came off and I couldn’t find it on the trail I was running. Hence why I bought these. Yes it was mildly quicker not having to put on or remove the covers before and after use, but the constant adjustments needed to stop the AirPods from falling out was a giant pain in the a***.In summary, the benefits of secure and comfortable AirPods significantly out way the need to take these on and off. They do exactly what I want them to do, simple and easy to use, no complaints. Should have bought these first time round.

My reviews are pretty much the same as every other review on this product. I found that the AirPods were too slippery and didn’t fit into my ears correctly, so I saw this solution on BGR and they seemed relatively cheap and have a good set of reviews, so I pulled the trigger and bought myself a red pair.I like that they add a bit of colour to the bland, white AirPods, and you could theoretically buy multiple pairs of different colours and mix and match them to your own style!I noticed an instant difference with the EarSkinz attached to my AirPods, both in sound quality and fit.I was able to vigourously shake my head and the AirPods would stay in place, and then went out for a jog and they stayed equally planted in my ears.The sound feels more I was able to vigourously shake my head and the AirPods would stay in place, and then went out for a jog and they stayed equally planted in my ears.The sound feels more bass-y, and this is probably to do with the tighter fit and therefore, less sound leakage? I'll read more on the website in a minute - but I don't need to know the science... Just that the sound's much better!As everyone else has stated, the one downside to these is that they must be removed when storing your headphones in the charging case. This leaves an awkward situation way you have to silicon skins and nowhere to put them safely, which could lead to you losing them if you’re not careful, or forgetting them when you pick your AirPods case up to go out for the day. If anyone finds a solution to this issue, I'd love to hear it!Another problem is when you put the skins onto your AirPods, the holes must line up perfectly or you lose functionality such as the auto pause feature.However, the whole process of applying the skins to your AirPods takes no more than 20 seconds per earphone, and in my opinion, is well worth the trade-off for better fit and sound quality .

Even though low-priced I spent a lot of time before buying my first set and after reading the reviews my expectations were low. In among the good reviews there were enough negative contributions make me unsure of the efficacy and reliability. Frankly I can't understand why anyone would have a negative experience nor why their expectations were for anything other than what is delivered.They are VERY easy to fit. They do NOT split when removed. The sound quality is a little better than without, or at least different but if one is looking for something to make one's valuable AirPods more secure when exercising (I use mine at the gym) then they stop the little blighters slipping out of one's sweaty lugholes perfectly. They do change the sound, it's a little louder - not massively - but the bass and mid tones are improved so overall it's bit better and definitely no worse.I have used mine probably 20-30 times since I bought them and they were undamaged and working fine when I lost or mislaid one of them.I don't know why people complain that they don't fit in the charging case. The product info clearly states that and the case is not designed to accommodate the covers. I have removed mine every single time I've finished using them and refitted for not time...no bother at all. At c.£6.00 a shot these are very good value for money and easily replaced. Since the AirPods are c. £135/£150 to buy I can't imagine £6.00 is beyond the reach of most users.So ignore the negatives. These are great value for money, durable and do the job.

They are made of really thick silicone so I would look for another thinner pair if (like me) you have small lugs.The sound is good but you will soon get sore ears (if they are small) and they don’t feel like they’re in right at first - like they’re gonna drop out but they are not going anywhere.If your AirPods are a good fit on their own then these will definitely feel to chunky but if you have your AirPods fall out then you’ll love these...I’ll have to find some thinner ones.I’ve got Earache...🙉
