Not all pots same colour
Love cuprinol ducksback, but bought one pot woodland moss from JDS in Aug, then another in Sept. They were totally different colours, see photo. Don't know which was wrong, but would not refund in full as we had used a bit. Only received half of what we paid. Could not tell it was wrong until we had used some as it is lighter when wet. Cannot use any of this paint to finish our fence. All other cuprinol ducksback purchases have been great though.

True to colour
I bought 3 tins of 5L rich cedar because the price was great plus itβs delivered to your home. I have used it before itβs a beautiful vibrant colour which I love and it last a long time. A friend recommended it to me of which I am grateful. I would highly recommend this product but my favourite colour is the Rich Cedar.

First coat is suprinsgly nicer than the finished 3rd coat
Easy to use, goes on a treat, but time will tell of how good it is. I managed to get 3 coats done in one day due to good weather. Cheaper than my local hardware shop by Β£2. 5Litres has got me all that done in the photo + the opposite side of the fence and gate with 3 coats on it and Iβve about 1/4 tin left. Just got the gate post left to do. All in all I would recommend

The finest garden paint
Tremendously pleased with the ducksback range!! It's absolutely superb. They're water-based paints that leave behind a waxy texture you can feel by running your finger along the wood, once dry. This means less environmental impact from VOCs, the solvent doesn't evaporate with age and cause it to set in the tub, and finally, and most importantly, it's very easy to wash off your skin (and the brushes) under hot water (no white spirit needed)!I bought Forest Oak and Autumn Brown, the darker shade for the fence and the autumn brown for the trellises and decking. The Forest Oak is a dark brown, applies quite light brown (coffee) and darkens (to dark chocolate). A nice de facto colour for any fence, really. The Autumn brown is a bit strange - it applies like a horrible orange, and this will depend on whether it's being painted onto lighter/darker wood of course, but reserve judgement as you're applying it because it dries to take a warm, almost brick-red shade of brown! It looks very tidy together with Forest Oak or anything green (greenery in a garden!?), but it might be a bit much if you don't like it that red.We previously had cuprinol decking stain on the decking and it didn't last 3 months in our glorious UK summer weather -_- Not fit for purpose. The wax layer comes straight off with casual use. Ducksback is what you want. Autumn brown is roughly the same as the Natural Cedar (but more red lol) It'll be getting a coat of varnish after it, just to be extra sure the decking's rich colour going to last this time.In short, these should roughly be Β£10 per 5L tub, that's enough to do your garden properly with at least 2 coats and have it look good and have it last the rain and snow. This is fantastic stuff!

Would recommend.
Wanted a green colour that wasn't as 'blue' in tone as the forest green shade widely available at hardware stores. Despite being on the Cuprinol colour chart no-one seemed to stock it so risked buying the woodland moss colour unseen from Amazon.Delighted I did. Prompt delivery, tins well sealed with tape which was easy to remove & then in plastic bags inside the boxes for good measure. Bought 6, one had a tablespoon or so of paint which had leaked, but very minimal issue & rest no problem. Really happy with the colour, has a more yellow/khaki tone which I feel makes the fence blend into the background foliage which is what I was wanting. Can't speak to the longevity as only been on 2 weeks, but went on nicely with a brush, although spent time working it into all the books & crannies. Coverage was about 4-5 fence panels (one side) per 5litre tin which is less than they say, but looks good enough to not need the second coat they suggest & appreciate saving time doing it twice! Perhaps I applied it thicker than intended but seems to have soaked in properly & repelling water (raindrops visible beading on the surface of the wood) even during the worst downpours. Was applying it more for the colour than the protection as my neighbours side is untreated so I won't get the full protective benefit anyway.Having done the back fence I was so pleased I've done the front one too & just bought more to do the new shed when it arrives! Even my husband, initially very skeptical about my fussing over the different greens, agrees it is a great shade. Would recommend.
