Seramis Orchid Potting Mix, 2.5 L

Very good pre-mix and can easily be adapted to individual needs by addition of other media. Nice and chunky, great texture. The clay pieces give it good water absorbency, BUT they have holes through the middle so they dry out very quickly leaving moist air rather than moisture in the pot, if you get what I mean.

Excellent value, a nice mixture of bark sizes. Have reported 3 orchids so far with plenty let for at least another 3 or 4.The orchids have seemed to respond well to this bark potting mix.

A Good Quality Potting mix.The pieces of Bark etc. Are of a good Size,So they do not fall through the sides of my Orchid Pots.The Bag is made of a Thick Plastic so will last.Overall very Pleased,. Value for the Money.

Arrived quickly, did the job just right, reported 2 orchids that are doing really well now and I've still got some left over! Couldn't find this stuff in any local stores.

My orchids like it and that's good enough for me. Its quite an 'open' compost with large pieces so will need watering regularly, as it doesn't hold water for long (which is the point, I guess, as orchids don't like sitting in water).

I had hopes for this but there are downsides to it that need addressing. It is very light and doesn't support the plant as much as the bark/moss mixes I had before so plants tend to lean over and require staking. Also it is not possible to lift the plant and pot out of its decorative container for watering as the compost just pulls out with the plant roots and makes a mess. This is still the case a whole growing season later. Also, the top of the mix floats up when I plunge the orchid into a bowl for watering so watering is a bit fiddly and messy. On the plus the plants are growing perfectly well and flowering away, so they are not perturbed by these issues! If I were to use it again I would add a few layers of sphagnum moss into the mix to try to keep it knitted together.

Was so pleased when I opened the bag. Even more pleased when I found out that the mix included clay pebbles which would help maintain humidity but not breakdown as quickly as organic medium. It would be a while before I need to replace it. Will buy again to repot my other phals! It's been several weeks since it's been in use and there's no sign of mould or pests.

Excellent product ...very high quality potting mix. Not nearly enough...need to order more. Very clean to work with hardly any dust. Very pleased.

Versand ging zügig. Verpackung hatte keine Schäden. Die Menge hat für einen 17cm/15cm und dreiviertel von einem 12cm/11cm Topf gereicht. Mir wurde Seramis von einem Blumenladen empfohlen, meine Mama benutzt es auch schon seit Jahren und hat damit schon angeblich tote Pflanzen wieder zum Leben erwecken können. Wirklich sehr gute Erde!

Das ist genau die richtige Erde für Orchideen. Eine Mischung aus Seramis und quasi Rindenmulch. Das Beste, was man für diese Pflanze nehmen sollte.

Ich hatte mit dem Pflanzsubstrat kein Glück. Es war feucht und leicht schimmlig. Trotzdem gab ich 5 Sterne, weil der Verkäufer sehr kulant war.
