KSG Arts and Crafts 3D Sequin Art 0501 Cat 3D Polystyrene Model Kit

My 9 year old loves these, the 3D ones are a bit trickier than the 2D flat picture versions, as you don't get the overlay to show you where to put the sequins but its easy enough to work out and keeps her happy for days! For kids who love craft like hama beads etc this is great and makes a lovely little ornament at the end.

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas. It proved a great hit, and my 7 year old son also joined in and says he wants the dolphin for his Birthday. When we first opened the packet and saw that it was a plain polystyrene cat, we (or I) was a bit worried, but once we started there was no looking back and you can draw or re-draw the lines as they all get covered up with the sequins anyway.I think this craft is great as it encourages concentration, helps the child to learn about colours and patterns and once it's done it's very long lasting. My daughter says it was a very cool gift and I have to agree. It was enjoyed by all of us and to be honest I want to get one for myself! I'm sure I will be buying more of these as gifts or for our family again.

Purchased as a gift for my 8 yr old niece. She has been doing other sequin images and wanted to try the 3D versions. Not sure I could see the appeal myself but she was very excited when she opened the box and sat down quietly to start work on it immediately, clearly a hit and good value. If you are looking for something to occupy an 8 yr old for a couple of hours that doesn't involve tv or games consoles, this is great. There are lots of tiny pins and sequins though (obviously) so take care aroudn smaller children or pets. My 2 year old was also desperate for a go but it is in no way suitable for rough little fingers!

I brought this for my niece who is 11 but she has to give up doing it because it hurts her thumb so it is incomplete as the more excited she got to doing it the pain it gave her thumb made her give up, I would say this is not recommended for children or that you include a thimble in the pack

Purchased for my 7 year old granddaughter and she loves it. Its keeping her focused and very quite for long periods and I have drawn the pattern onto the model so that she can follow the lines when inserting the sequins. A lovely gift and its great watching her do something so creative. A very reasonable price and speedy delivery.

A friend makes these up she will love this as Christmas pressie

Waste of money as, having seen the product in person, I would never gift it to a child.The box contains the styrofoam model and a series of sealed plastic pouches containing the sequins and pins. The bags containing the sequins also contain all the little plastic circles that were punch out of the sequins - I guess they don't make any effort to separate the waste from the actual product when packaging the sequins. The pins are very sharp, not blunt like I was expecting and like I've seen in similar kits. So, ignoring the risk of injury, you're going to end up with at worst pins all over the floor and at best just a pile of tiny plastic circles everywhere. Would not recommend.
