Absolutely love this coat!!! I read the reviews before purchasing and everyone is correct, the coat runs big. My 7yr old wears a 7-8 in normal coats, but I went a size smaller and got the 6 in this coat. I'm glad I believed the reviews because the 8 would have swallowed him whole. Even with the 6 he might make it another winter in this coat because he has a little room in the arms.This coat is extremely thick and warm. I love the fleece lined hood aa well. Based on other parkas I either saw or researched, this is I believe is the best coat and my son looks super cute in it. It's definitely money well spent for our brutal Wisconsin winters.

I absolutely LOVE this coat! We live in a very cold climate and I needed a coat that could stand up to the weather for my son. I found exactly what I was looking for at a great price. I ordered him a size 6, he wears a size 6 and it fit perfectly. I was going to go a size up and I’m grateful I didn’t because it would be difficult for him to play in. The attention to detail and quality is outstanding. It is heavy and thick without being overly puffy and bulky. The stitching, pockets, buttons and zippers are also high quality. My only complaint would be that the fur lining on the hood overwhelms his little face but it easily snaps off. I will be buying our family all of our winter coats from this company. Excellent!!!

Really nice looking coat. Looks well made but there were some problems with the stitching. Hood wasn't sewn on correctly and is beginning to separate. Fixed it with a few stitches but not sure how long it's going to last. Hopefully this was just an isolated problem because the coat is very nice also very warm. Five stars for looks and warmth tho.UPDATE!!! The sleeve near the armpit and down the side is splitting open now! Once again I see that the stitches run right off the edge of the material. Highly disappointed. Didn't last 3 months.

The quality exceeded my expectations. It’s heavy & warm. The hood is detachable. Has lots of pockets so he can stuff them with his matchbox cars & other toys. My son will be 5 next month & he’s on the big side. He’s about the size of an average 6 yr old. He wears 6/7 in clothes. I got this in size 6. It definitely runs large, I’m sure this will fit him next winter & possibly the following.

It runs a little bit large, but that’s OK because he will need to grow into it for next year as well. But it keeps him warm and it looks super cute so I am overall happy with this purchase. EDIT!!!! Took stars away because within two weeks of purchase it was falling apart

I ordered my 10 yr old son a size 14/16 because I wanted it big enough to last another year and so there was enough room for snowbibs underneath. My son is tall and slender. A 10/12 would have fit perfect but I'm glad I got this size. It's also nice that the fur is removable. The hood is not removable. Love it and seems to be warm enough. We live in ND so it can get to -60 with wind-chill so he needs warmth and I think he will love it.

I was so hopeful for this coat. I bought it for my son. The zipper is just such poor quality, and refuses to stay zipped shut! After closed, on its own, the zipper constantly reopens. It’s been freezing here, and this is unacceptable. What good is a coat (especially an expensive one like this), is if wont stay zipped! Strongly debating returning it. Just giving it one “last chance” because my son wants to. I’m not hopeful.
