WATCHU - The GPS Tracking Smart Watch for Kids - UK Company - UK App - UK Technical Support (Bubblegum Blue)

I need this for my little boy with special needs who keeps doing a runner. While it doesn't pinpoint his position specifically ( the position updates every 6 minutes?) it at least gives us an indication which direction to look in, which is invaluable when you're in such a position.I didn't find it particularly intuitive to use, but the helpdesk are fantastic, and a worth a separate 5-start review all to themselves. Any problems, text or phone, and they'll stay with you until your problem is solved.The watch itself is comfortable and durable and clear to read. The controls however, aren' great to use, particularly for someone with fine motor difficulties. It's largely controllable from your i-phone, however; and my son's inability to fathom the controls does have it's upside in that the original fiver I put on his sim hasn't been used in several weeks! I've found it needs charging daily to ensure it doesn't run out of charge.I was a bit worried my son wouldn't wear it, as he's a bit funny about any kind of jewelry; but I phone him daily, and he loves the fact he can use it to receive phone calls.All in all, it's a real confidence booster that we stand a good chance of finding him once he's gone missing. You'll probably find it's useful to trace your little "Houdini" too!

This watch is exactly how it looks in the picture and is the only watch that my 5 year old son hasn't moaned about being uncomfortable or taken off.I've given it 3 stars because it has yet to give me a correct location of my son. In fact, if I were a panicking mom, it would drive me crazy. It says my son is streets away from where he's meant to be.They have also removed the listening function so I can't even confirm his whereabouts without actually calling and having the watch ring, disturbing his activities.I'm giving another week or so to see any improvements, then I'll return.

It came with no sim card. Sadly it arrived with no sim card. We mentioned it to Amazon and a week later the SIM card arrived. Then we struggled to connect. We got some online help and now it works on one side only (i.e. we can call the kid but not the other way around). Still waiting for follow up with manufacturer. At this point, I think the watch has a flaw.Be aware that the GPS location is very vague. It locates the closest GPS pole, nothing compared to what we are used to with mobile phone. Overall, the idea is brillant but sadly we are not there yet in terms of execution. No doubt that with an upcoming competitor in the pipeline and few existing similar products, a real great product will be out there very soon.

Good product - enables me to track my child and battery lasts all day. The listening function is very good.What makes this product different from the others is the post-purchase support. The customer service team is very good and will help you resolve your issues as long as there is a known mitigation.The only reason i posted 3 instead of 5 is that the display date format on the home screen is in American format It is sold and fulfilled in the UK as a child's watch...i am teaching my child to read the time and date and having a watch that shows the wrong date format will cause confusion.If this can be fixed (which i was told it cannot) then i would have given this purchase 5 stars.

After having the watch for 2 weeks it fails to keep the right time, the location function no longer working, listen in function not working and it is showing the watch as the location it was 2 days ago.Battery is lasting no longer than a few hours so all in all it's useless. It's getting returned as Watchu themselves can't solve the issues.

If you buy this as a Christmas present like I did you need to be aware that the company’s support is not accessible during the holidays - I left two messages and never got any response (even after everyone returned to work). When the Watchu worked my daughter loved it and it was a brilliant bit of kit...but for some reason it hardly ever had any signal and this meant it could not receive or make calls most of the time, and the GPS was way off. Because of this it did not offer the peace of mind advertised! I returned it.

Great product - easy to use and set up along with an easy way to reload the pay as you go SIM that comes with the watch. The app works well and has a great interface on both apple and Samsung (andrioid) phones - but a couple of things to note after 6 months of use. Sometimes the watch will use the nearest mast as its location. This freaked me out at first as they can be up to a mile away. This has happened in 2 different places (my sons schools and our holiday home) now I know this it is fine but it did concern me at first. Also after 6 months of use I have found the battery drains really quickly (within 7 hours) and the display on the watch has issues in that is has lines across. This has been resolved quickly by the WatchU support line which I have to say has been excellent. All in a great solution, I love this as I feel my son is too young for a phone but he needs to be able to contact me and I him, when the school bus is late etc. Works perfectly for me to know where he is without him knowing he is being tracked !

It has the potential of being a great product but the quality is not there and there are too many issues with the watch, network and reliability in general that makes it not a trustworthy product. Especially when it’s advertised as a way to keep your kids safe.Since we got it we had battery issues, network issues and also received multiple apologies from provider but still unhappy and would not recommend.

This thing is poorly made. I bought it in May and it worked for 2 months and stopped working. The screen just went blank. I can hear sounds but no screen. So, I contacted customer service and they gave me a UPS label to send it back. So, I did. The replacement watch came on 7/15/2017. And I installed the phone card and it worked until today 7/17/2017. That's 2 whole days. Again it's the screen. The back light no longer lights up and it's not a setting problem. So......I am SOL right now. I have sent 2 emails to the company and let's see what they are going to do about it. But so far, nothing yet. Please do not buy this product. It's like gambling and this is not how I want my kids tracking system to function. I want it to be reliable, not like taking a gamble every time he walks out. Purchase at your own risk.

I was rubbed! The cid code provided in the package was wrong and i could NOT sync my app to the watch. Additionally, there was NO cid code on back of watch either ( as described in manual) . Spoke to several techs and spent half a day on this. After all that was told to return it to get correct cid. Problem is, there is NO return option for this!!

Horrible watch that I would not recommend. It has not been telling the correct time. I cant turn the watch off - either by the buttons or remote from my phone. It has sat in a drawer more than it has been used as it is useless. I recently tried two more times when my son was going to a large amusement park and on a school field trip and we could not get it to make or receive calls. The tech support every time I have emailed asking for help I get no help. I wanted to like the watch and thought maybe I just received a defective one. The last time they didn't respond it the watches inability to shut off! It would be bad if I had paid for a bad product but I sink another 20 bucks a month in phone service! Stay away from this product its junk!

Loved the watch. Would like another watch for older kids. The wrist band was too small and after a month the band broke. Watch is perfect size for smaller kids. I only wish it would of lasted longer for the price.

I had some issues with the watch when I was first trying to set it up, it was showing a different administrators phone number. I contacted the seller and they were very helpful and quick at getting the problem resolved right away. The watch was very easy to set up, I went to my local cell phone provider and got a sim card set up ($10 a month extra on my bill, no contract) and it was good to go from there. The watch also has clear speaker and the people that I have called to test it, say they can hear very clear as well. My son has not used it yet as it is a Christmas gift, so I am not sure how easy it will be for him to use, but it didn't seem too difficult for me once I got use to the buttons. I think this will be a great alternative to a phone for my 7 year old son. The only negative issue I have with the watch is that the time shows up in military time.

Very cool and it works great. This is a new watch. They are working on a couple of applications update.#1 it only tells 24 hour time.#2 sometimes it takes 5 to 10 mins for the location to update. Not sure why, but I have always been able to reach my kid.please note if your child is playing in somebody's basement or out in a limited coverage area it functions just like a cell phone.

i love it

great charge life. really could use 12 hour time though. the analog face, which you get to by pressing the center button twice, is a little hard to read. hoping for an update on the 12 hour time. Otherwise, a great product.

wish it worked for us. have to return cause it works only on T mobile.
