Let it Go! Advance to Go! Fun and easy to play. My six year old frozen fan was very pleased with it.
Great for any frozen fan that likes board games. Simple to learn for five years old and up. Takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour to play and my six year old loved it. The simplified Monopoly rules make this very easy to get to grips with for my six year old, easier than I had expected. Other reviews have commented that other junior monopoly games may be better, but this one will not be a disappointment, certainly not for children new to Junior Monopoly players. The Frozen themed chance cards are a highlight of the game, are good fun and add excitement. You can win money, pay fines or even get to choose anywhere on the board to buy, or get to choose properties or specific colours to get for free! Note that if you do get to choose one of the dark blues or oranges that there are Chance cards that will send players to Elsa's Ice Palace or the Wandering Oaken's Trading Post and Sauna! It helps children to learn addition, subtraction and the value of money with simple one pound notes and properties and rents between 1 and 5 pounds. Rent is just one amount per property and equal to the purchase price which is on the board so there are no property cards. The fact you can't remortgage is a good simplification, but when you run out of cash, it can be a bit disheartening that your assets count for nothing. I suppose you could introduce a simple additional rule allowing you to sell property back to the bank for half its value or something to soften the blow (or prolong the agony of defeat!). You still have jail but you don't miss a turn, just pay a fine on your next go.The game is really good with two, but more exciting with three. It is a slight disappointment that there is not a fourth character like Sven or Kristoff, but my daughter loved the characters which are glittery transparent icy colours. I thought the detailed Minions monopoly pieces looked really cool though, but that set is quite a bit more money. Olaf's base was a bit wobbly, but no big deal and Anna's ankles are a weak point and soon get bent and loose. The instructions are clear and concise. The little clear elastic bands that hold the character pieces in the box turned out to be perfect for holding the money and chance cards together! A little bag for the die and tokens would have been welcome though.Overall very pleased and would recommend. My daughter says it is her best present and best board game (of 20 or so)!
