Great when you know how to use it...
Arrived this morning, and just me, I don't usually read instructions. However it didn't matter this time, because there were no instructions enclosed. So, as I always use Avery Full Face Label's, I started to proceed holding the fins of the label and trying to put it down onto the disc which I had put on the applicator..It was as fiddly as my other applicator. The result was as always, not perfect..So I looked at Charlie's review of 2013,and did what he said...I took the large center piece out. I took the label with the fins on, sticky side up right down onto the applicator, making sure the fins line up with the slots on the side of the applicator. Put the disc, recorded side upwards, printed side down, press gently right down the center column of the applicator. When it sticks together, take off the fins gently and smooth the label to the disc with a clean finger,,,,It works perfectly .I recommend this product...

Works well
ONly complaint, no instructions although fairly simple to work out. Quality for money good and works as expected, enabling CD labels to look more professional.

Simple design, simple to use
This is a very simple way of applying labels to CD's and DVD's, once you have worked out that you have to release the spring mechanism to start. I use the clear plastic disc that comes with most blank DVD racks, to assist when putting the disc onto the label, as it avoids having to touch the disc surface. Overall a very simple product that works well.

Mostly excellent disc label applicator, but needs careful use
For several years I've used Lightscribe discs, but they have gone out of production, so I've gone back to paper labels as I don't produce many discs, and I don't have a printer that will take direct printing discs. The Avery labels are good but it helps a lot to have an applicator that makes sure that they arrive at the right point on the disc surface. You put the label sticky side up on the base, then place the disc face down on the central grey pin. Pressing on the pin lowers the disc onto the label. Generally it works well - the only reason I've dropped a star is that as you press that pin down there's a fair amount of side-to-side give in it, which means if you don't press it straight down you can get your label off genre. Otherwise excellent.

Does the job but is it worth the money?
No hesitation whatsoever in reporting that it does exactly what it says on the box. Effortless to use and good results everytime. However i do question whether it is value for money. Tried a much cheaper version loaned to me by a friend (who I wish I'd spoken to before making the purchase) and it was just as efficient as the Avery model

The Only stomper for FULL COVERAGE labels.
People who have tried will know that the full face labels are hit and miss. I bought 3 other Stompers beside this one at a net cost of £73 and this is the ONLY one which works and it works 100% perfectly every time. No hit and miss anymore, I mean absolutely perfect EVERY TIME.What people are not realising is => the light grey bit in the middle has to be twisted and REMOVED COMPLETELY. I put mine away in a drawer when using full face/ full coverage labels.See the user photo I have uploaded to show this. When ordering this stomper make sure it is the Model No: Avery 5699Put the light grey center piece back in place for other labels.Works PERFECTLY for full coverage and it doesn't get better than PERFECT, right?I hope this review saves some people money by helping them avoid buying inadequate stompers. I had to buy mine blind and hope for the best. This one is the only one which came through for me.

Brilliant
This is a fantastic product and works first time every time. I initially purchased the Avery product from Europe (the spring-loaded bendy one), but it was useless (off-centre labels every time), so after throwing the other one in the bin, I decided to give it one more try and the reviews here helped me decide on this particular product. It was expensive to obtain it here in the UK, but it's worth every penny. The photograph I have uploaded shows a test I made using an Avery J8676 label on an old DVD that I no longer needed.
