There is not really much to say about this product. I used to live in a dorm and the fully fitted kitchen was available. However, I recently moved into my own studio flat with the microwave and double stove only. Since I mostly use oven to prepare all of my dishes, I wanted to buy a small oven. The price for the quality is just ridiculous. The oven is just perfect! You will never find anything better for this price. It can prepare anything, is very quick, simple, made out of metal/but still very light. I definetely recommend this oven to anyone, even to the families that don't have a space/don't want to have a traditional gas oven. I have tried baked potatoes, skewers, pizzas, baking and pasta and everything was perfect.I have checked other products by this brand and all of them have excellent reviews and low prices. I will definetely stick to this brand in the future!ps. Maybe it is just my case, but the oven got delivered 3 days sooner as it was supposed to be, which was just ideal for me.

Hard to know where to start with this review. I can't think of anything negative to say about it. Whatever I throw in it cooks very well and evenly. I've found that the cooking instructions on the food packaging should often be treated as a general guide. If it says 180 degrees for 15 minutes, give it 20 minutes, or increase the temperature slightly to reduce the cooking time. I know this should be common sense to most people, but before I bought this oven, I read various reviews on it from other people complaining it never gets hot enough, barely cooks a pizza etc. Personally, I haven't had any issues with it. It cooks my food perfectly and it tastes better than when I was cooking the same food in a halogen oven or microwave. I'm happy to leave the food cooking longer than the recommended time if necessary, but honestly i've never had to extend the cooking time by more than about five minutes. It's a great little oven. It heats up quickly and is easy to clean. The top does get very hot during cooking as you would expect from such a small unit like this, but personally I find that a useful feature for warming my plate while the food is cooking.I love it! Can't recommend it enough. Especially if you live on your own or your kitchen has limited space.

This is a neat device which looks good and is easy to use. There are a few points which might save users some trial and error:The top temperature is supposed to be 230 degrees C but I doubt this: all the recipes I have used needed a higher temperature and sometimes a longer time than indicated. This is no problem once you make this allowance.The top becomes very hot in use, so it's a good place to warm plates, but children need to be warned not to touch.It can only be used with the timer, so beware of missing the fact that it has reached its time and switched off. It 'pings' loudly but it cools very quickly.Also note that the timer ticks away when set even if the power is not on: always check that the red light is on to be sure it's warming up.

I have used it only twice, and so far I am very pleased with it. Despite what it says in the instruction booklet, you can use tinfoil without problems, and I have also used it for cooking ready meals in plastic trays with great success. It is easy to use and cooks perfectly, and I like how you can set the exact oven temperature recommended on prepared meals. I have another, smaller mini-cooker that I have had for ages, and it is impossible to set it correctly, so it is guess work, and I had to adopt a 'one size fits all' approach that does not always produce good results. It hasn't got a grill either, which was the main reason I bought Von Shef, but I have yet to try out the grill.Sadly, I have to say be very careful about the free 2-year extended guarantee. Because of the pecularity of the terms and conditions, I very much doubt that anyone gets that, and strangely, there is no information about how to claim on the one year guarantee, either, so I just hope my beautiful new cooker continues to behave itself.

Good value for money. Does what you expect. Useful for pizzas and roasts. Not brilliant for baking but that might be because we're not used to the settings yet. Temperature is not accurate. A great oven for quick meals or snacks. Probably perfect for small apartments or student digs.

Bought as a temporary oven during major kitchen works. Amazing value for money! Well built with sturdy controls. Oven functions work very well - have managed to roast potatoes, do joints of meat and even make Yorkshire puddings! Grill function slightly less good - it doesn't quite work for grilling bacon. However, given price, it is acceptable. You have to use the supplied tray and grill rack - both fit into internal grooves, which sort of limits what you can stack inside. All completely bearable though! Still happy with it after months of daily use by our family of four.

this machine is amazing .i had a conventional eye level gas oven .the oven packed up.grill packed up ! just left with the hob.watching you tube about people living in motor homes and these ovens kept being shown in use .ordered the von shef oven /grill problems sorted at the flick of a switch .the machine its self sits on my work top is light cool looking and abrucie bonus you can sit down [i do] to check how cooking is going on highly recommend this machine and the company i purchased from very fast delivery .ps machine about same size as a microwave oven but a lot lighter !

We bought this to tide us over while we have a new kitchen installed and it works surprisingly well. Because it is smaller than the average oven it heats up very quickly and the temperature settings are reasonably accurate. I haven't done anything complicated but I have baked scones and buns and cooked fish and pies. It is possible to have just bottom heat or just top heat or both together so it is fairly flexible.
