The copying speed was 42mbs/s, which was fabulous.Well pleased with this purchase to replace my old USB 2 capable reader which also required an adapter for micro sd cards.

I bought this to use at work where I have to download images from a digital camera. The card reader works well, it was instantly recognised by my works computer and the images seemed to me to download even quicker than plugging the camera in. The item arrived on time and was well packaged.

I have tried this a few times to copy from my micro sd cards. Very good little adapter, good price and seems decent quality. I had an issue getting the top off, very very tight! After using a few times it has become a little loose. I have a Trasscend adapter which seems more robust but this is fine too.Update: I have only used this a few times, never take it out of my office, never handled roughly and only used branded MicroSD cards. For some reason this is now faulty, I tried a brand new Lexar card and got USB device not recognised, tried a Sandisk Extreme microsd card and got the same error. I tried my Transcend adapter and it worked fine first time with both cards. Not impressed, downgraded from 5 star rating.Update 2: After contacting Kiwibird, it appears that the item itself was faulty, they refunded me the cost of the item very quickly and responded to messages in the evening very swiftly. Great customer service.

I'm downloading 4k videos from a Sandisk Pro micro sd, original adapter I was using was usb 2.0 and i was getting about 15Mb/s max transfer speed, On this adapter I'm achieving 90Mb/s. This is the fastest chip I have so cannot tell it's full potential.

I purchased this to enable me to download my pictures from the simm card from my Galaxy J3 phone. The usb when connected to my computer worked very quickly and it was a straight forward matter of transferring the photos to my computer.

Perfectly good quality. Sturdy, hard-used and still well good looking and working. Really recommend as unexpencive piece of tool that is always neede!

Needed one of these to copy camera pics to my laptop. Great price and is pretty quick. I had an issue using it on a new laptop, where it would not be recognised. This turned out to be a USB power config on the laptop (Dell), which was resolved and the reader works every time.

Bought this before Windows 10 stopped be able to plug camera straight into Pc. Obviously now has an update so it’s not needed. Still this does a good job. Now have a iMac, can still be used. iMac does support direct camera into Mac to read files. The card stick always a good back up if camera or leads fail.
