Shower Curtain Rail/Rod, 4 way use, L or U Shape With Ceiling Mount and Semi-Open Rings (Chrome)

When my husband first saw this he felt that it was too light and flimsy, however we put it up in an L configuration the length of a standard bath, and it looks good, it holds up an extra long and extra wide shower curtain with ease. So don't be put off when you open it, as it is actually very good value and does what I wanted it to do perfectly. There are several ways you can use this so it is versatile, it comes with 14 special curtain hooks that are required as they slide over the stabilising bar, normal sealed hooks would not work, these have a space in them to enable them to go round the bend where the bar is attached to the ceiling.

I had to install a shower curtain rail quickly since the new home didn't have one. This rail is reasonable for the price, ( perhaps slightly over priced ), not all parts are metal but it's solid. Take care installing and you'll be alright. You'll need to use ' dry wall or plaster board raw plugs for the ceiling fitting if your ceiling is plaster board ( the manufacturer didn't think of this ), Measure carefully and cut the rail in small increments to fit your bathroom, plan first and use a spirit level. In all I was pleased with my rail, it was easy enough to install and looks smart in my bathroom.

Simple to erect with limited tools needed

I’m reasonably happy with the look and function of this curtain rail, for the price. However, it has one massive design flaw: the main (long) rail is formed from two short rails. They simply push together with a short internal plastic “plug” to form one long one. This is ridiculous. The rail, attached to the wall at each end, obviously sags in the middle - of course is does! It can barely hold the weight of the curtain and if you accidentally tug on it, the two halves separate and the curtain will fall down, possibly ripping out the mount points and damaging your bathroom or in the process. It’s a real shame because if it was not for this design decision this would be a good piece of kit and a decent value. I am sure they made the rail in this way so it would fit in much smaller packaging and therefore save money in storage and transport costs. However you as the customer pay the price because you end up with a royal the pens in the middle

Fitted this in the one long side, one short side ‘L’ shape over a bath, backed into a corner but open on 2 sides, with central shower. Fitting required 6 wall holes and 3 ceiling holes to be drilled, pack comes with plugs and screws. I decided to fit the ceiling post first as it has a grub screw release for final assembly and it set the height and position for the wall mountings. Take care cutting the piles if you have to, but the wall and ceiling mounts have covers that hide any cutting marks. Curtain did need a longer curtain 240 than. Standard but it has worked brilliantly
