Everything you need to know...
Hereโs what you need to know before you buy the 3inch stud mount version of these wheels:- The stud thread size is M12-1.75- You can fasten these to something without using a wrench on the stud end. Simply lock the wheels, and it will lock both the red wheel and the stud axis that the wheel swivels around. This way you can just hold the entire assembly and turn it to fasten.- If you want extra leverage and want to use a wrench to fasten, the nut at the base of the stud can be tightened with a thin (~3mm thickness) 16mm open end wrench.FYI : I used these wheels on metal shelving that can be bought from Home Depot or Loweโs. The studs fit perfectly in the 1/2โ holes at the base, but the steel was not strong enough and bent as soon as I loaded the shelf. To remedy this issue I cut and drill aluminum angle to prevent the steel tabs from bending up. The shelves are now fully loaded and have been pushed around my garage with no issue. *Always make sure you push low on any large moving equipment and avoid cracks to keep it from falling over*Hope this helps!I didnโt give 5 stars because I wish there was a hex drive on the bottom of the stud for fastening, and that the top swivel bearing surface was wider to provide more contact area at the base of my structure. Currently only the small area at the top of the nut contacts the base and this creates a high stress area. If they make these changes and increase the load rating these things would be the last model of casters I would ever buy for a mobile <600lb structure.

Really good caster wheels at a really good price.
Bought a set of 16 of these during an Amazon deal and despite losing one in the mail due to poor shipping packing on the vendors side, 3 sets of the wheels have held up to everything I thrown at them.I used 2 sets of wheels on 2 relatively large work benches I build in the garage. No issues.I used 1 set to replace the cheap wheels that came with a fold-able car trailer I purchased, the kind of trailer the folds up upright and rolls into the garage; no issues there either.Unfortunately, I only have 3 wheels left, having lost one when the mailing bag used to send them ripped while in transit. Not sure what to do with them. I tried getting a forth wheel from the local brick and mortar hardware stores (Lowes and Home Depot), but all the casters they had of the same diameter were too short in height. Price wise, they about a dollar more than the ones at the local stores, but they well worth the price compared to what they sell.

I have a few concerns about these casters. The ...
Edit:These casters have worked well. I will probably by another set or 2. The nut they come with is tight to the caster by design which will aid in fastening. You will need to purchase M12-1.75 nuts(others have recommended other similar thread types, M12-1.75 worked for me) if you plan on fastening the nut and bolt method.--------------------------------------------------I have a few concerns about these casters. The nuts that come with them are so tight to the base of the threaded rod that they are impossible to remove. I locked two nuts, I had laying around, together at the top of the threaded rod and had another guy help turn 1 wrench. In and out of a vise to help brace the wheel but still impossible to remove. The threads are M12-1.75 which are a bit pricy at the local hardware store. I may or may not buy another set in the future but I wanted to share some of my experience with these.

BOUGHT THIS FOR OUR POOL COVER ROLLER AND LOVE THESE CASTER WHEELS
I am on the pool committee for our condo association. We have a large pool and have to cover it during colder weather in northern Florida. We don't have a motorized cover roller and have to roll the cover manually with a crank. The casters on our roller stand were old and the brakes did not hold well anymore. We replaced them with these wheels and were impressed with their sturdiness and strong brake. It sure has made it so much easier to roll the pool up and roll it out again when the pool needs to be covered.

Well made and great function.
Yes the casters had a metric stem which is no problem anywhere now days. The casters are well made and heavy duty. The pivoting bearings are fairly large diameter which gives good support. The wheels roll smooth as glass and have two ball bearings in each wheel on each side making them stable. I was impressed with the quality and value. I have a lot of tooling and like everyone space in my shop is at a premium. These casters are mounted on wood working equipment that I don't use everyday. Rolling the tool out to the work area and locking the wheels makes my life easier. This is a good buy.

Excellent product.
I installed them on my cast iron router table. Was an easy process using nylon locking nuts (not included in the package). They roll easily on concrete floor and lock securely in place. Makes moving the heavy table a breeze. This week's are very sturdy and well build. The locking mechanism is particularly useful because it locks not only the rolling but also the pivoting on the axle of the wheel. This feature is also useful during the installation process. By locking the wheel before installation, there is no need to to hold the nut at the base of the wheel with a very skinny wrench...just hold the wheel and tighten the locking nut.

Best locking wheels on the market for the price.
Best locking wheels on the market for the price. I really like these I just wish it was a standard 3/8 thread so I can use them on metal racks but it is fine. My work table now it is rocksolid when I walk two out of four wheels never mind went off for a walk itโs not going anywhere

Good Metric Casters!
I resurfaced and repainted an old metal barbeque cart that had rusted (outdoors) and used it to mount a (portable) radial arm saw in my garage. I needed metric casters of the right stud length and thread to match the nuts that are welded into the metal cart (as the old casters were too rusted to salvage), and these worked perfectly! They are quite sturdy and more than adequate for this purpose (even with the weight of the radial arm saw, tool boxes on shelves, etc.)
