REMOVU A1 Bluetooth Audio Receiver and M1 Waterproof Bluetooth High Definition Microphone Kit for GoPro Hero 3/3+/ 4

So I bought this based on a few reviews here and elsewhere online and this review is based on using the Removu over a few weeks whilst shooting some reportage/documentary for an outdoor festival organisation.Sound quality - this is definitely an improvement on the internal GoPro mic. Not great when there's amplified music nearby but good for capturing better quality ambient sounds and some conversation.Ergonomics - I needed something small that I could forget about whilst shooting and this is a fine piece of kit for that purpose. The weatherproof case is good though fiddly if you need to get the mic out to switch on/off. However the spongy wind 'baffle' that comes with it is next to useless as it doesn't fit well and won't stay on. I ended up discarding it as it kept falling off.Set-up is easy using the included connector strip that connects the Bluetooth transmitter to the GoPro itself via the USB connector port on the GoPro. Connectivity between the mic and the Bluetooth transmitter was always good.The only reservation I have with this device is that once you have the connector strip on you then can't replace the rubber GoPro cover back on which protects the exposed edge of the Micro SD card. As a result I have experienced a number of regular file writing issues which is usually the result of the card receiving vibration in its slot (something that would normally be dampened by the rubber cover). Not great. I've lost a few files whilst shooting because of this. I'm going to try a small piece of electrical tape over the exposed end of the SD card to see if that resolves the issue. If not then I'd say this is a potential deal breaker with this audio device.

Great idea and does the job......until the ribbon cable breaks.Once that happens the product is unusable. Mine lasted no more than 30 back pack changes and I now can't use the system.A bit of a design foul-up there.

The range could be better. Otherwise a very good product that solve many problems.It could also have a better way of enclosing the mic on the waterproof housing. Sometimes it doesn't properly close and you can hardly notice it. We all know how that can be disastrous since the mic and the water don't go well together.

Bought for my husband who seems to find this product good. He did say it drops out of range easily but when he stays within range it is good at what it does with nice clear recordings.

What I was thinking? Yet another gopro gadget, yes gadget. Its very laggish and sometimes chopping the sound.Unfortunately you are going to find out that the sound of your video is messed afer you going to seat in front of your computer.Waste of money! Very irritating small connector cable-bridge is very fiddly to remove. And you have to remove it somehow as it covers SD cads slot.Great idea, it work when it works. When it doesn't it doesn't. If anyone wanna buy it from me let me know.

When used as a lapel mic, the recordings sound really clear and full.Surprisingly you can also pair other Bluetooth devices with the receiver to record different types of audio. I've ordered a 3.5mm to Bluetooth transmitter so I can record audio from my synths over my videos.

I bought this microphone for my GoPro 4 its has an amzing sound quality and very simple connect.the mic also comes with waterproof housing and for the connecter you need to buy and extension housing.
