Bought this on the strength of reviews as an alternative to a windscreen holder. Item arrived quickly, packaging was good and included two very thin self adhesive silver discs and a vinyl sticker to put on your phone first (to make the removal of the plate easier). Instructions were self explanatory but I liked the inclusion of a note to give advice if you are not happy which is good customer service.Item worked fine, fitted into CD slot okay. You need a bit of grip pressure to push the button in before inserting into the CD slot but wasnt too bad, main thing was that it stays in place and grips phone without slippage. I put the silver disk on the outside of my case so there is more of a direct contact between the plates and magnets making it more secure.I would purchase again, mainly on price but quality is good too.

Simple to install and performs great. This can also be removed in seconds to allow easy CD/DVD insertion or to move it to a second car or van. I don't think it looks too bulky either when compared with other generic non-magnet holder style mounts.Fitted easily into the CD slot of my Ford Mondeo with no wobble or shaking when driving. Being spring loaded I cannot see why this wouldn't work equally well with other car head units. The width of the CD slot clamp is approx. half the width of the slot, so you can position it to the far left or the right making it suitable for drivers of left or right hand vehicles.The face plate has an adjustable tensioner to keep your phone perfectly angled just where you want it. Mine came with a couple of self adhesive 3M magnet plates and I can't fault their performance.This represents very good value for money and I would highly recommend.

This fits snuggly and securely in to the CD slot by simply pushing the button on top on the bracket which depresses the soft-padded clamps. Simply insert in to slot and release button. 5 second job. That simple; no assembly required, no sticking, no screwing, no fuss.The pack comes complete with two thin self-adhesive metal plates and self-adhesive plastic film to protect your phone. My only gripe is that the metal plates have very sharp edges which could easily cut if handled carelessly. This isn’t an issue once the plate is stuck to the phone.I fitted mine directly to my iPhone SE rather than the gel cover. Once the cover is replaced the plate is discreet and secure.The phone is then simply attached to the holder by placing the metal plate on to the padded magnetic dock where the phone is held very securely but is easy to swivel between portrait and landscape mode with one hand. Very simple but very effective.My phone now sits in a good position in my BMW 3 Series and looks great. Well pleased.It’s a shame that I had to knock off one star due to the potentially dangerous sharp edges on the metal plates (plain laziness on the manufacturer’s part and a potential trading standards issue). Nevertheless, I would buy again.

Beats all the other holders I have ever tried hands down, this is the easiest and best to use, very simple to fit, press the spring loader button down, slot in DVD slot, release button and job done, I didn't stick the metal disk to my phone, instead I just slipped it in between my phone and case, that held it firmly in place with no bother.Holds very well on this holder without any slipping and sliding about, phone easy to turn round, in all, it's very good value for the price.

The item is good quality and well made, however, I didn't trust it not to break the plastic around my CD slot opening. You have to be quite forceful to get it into place, which I didn't like. Also, the plastic bits that go into the CD slot mouth are quite long, and push into the CD mouth fabric causing distortion. Over time, I'm confident this would have caused damage. I'm confident this would be different for different cars, my is a 2017 BMW. I'll keep this mount for rentals, so will still serve a purpose.

After moving away from the windscreen suckers, I tried several different vent mounts both "gravity" and magnetic. All of them wobble around and eventually drop off unexpectedly.However, this mount slips in the CD slot in my Hyundai ix35 and is rock solid. My phone has a wafer-slim disk on the case (so no damage to the phone itself) and I just slap it on the mount and go.The position on the dash is perfect to view SAT-Nav but out of the way and the ball-joint allows tilting to the best angle.So chuffed, I just ordered another one for the other car.

I didn't expect a great deal for a fiver but the concept of the holder inserted in the (unused) CD slot of my car radio was, I thought, quite innovative. It arrived today. It's FABBY!! Rock-solid, simple, the magnetic plates are wafer-thin and don't bulk out the phone behind the case, and it sits beautifully facing me when driving. Ideal for navigation which is what I wanted it for. Best ever (and I've had a few, to paraphrase Life Of Brian.....).

Poor quality, magnetic strips started losing grip and phone kept falling often. Insertion legs widened CD slot and overall not a great product.
