Vintage Canvas Messenger Bag,Casual Shoulder Bag,Waterproof School Bag

My daughters school only allows bags of a certain size in the classroom or you have to carry your books without one. This satchel is the perfect size and we were surprised at how much she could get into it. The material seems very durable and has taken a beating over the last couple months and has shown no damage yet. I would absolutely buy this again and probably will if this one falls apart.Update: 2 months later and she still loves the bag but the plastic clip on the shoulder strap has broken. Hopefully the seller will make it right. A metal clip would make a lot more sense on a bag built for carrying electronics or things that should not be dropped.

Unfortunately, none of the pictures show how the fold-over top hooks closed. They are the kind of closures that you have to pinch in on both sides and then slide into the other side contraption. Had I known this I would not have bought the item. (It is not in the written description either.) I have weakness in my hands and cannot use those kinds of closures, so I have to leave them dangling, and it just ruins the overall look and usefulness of the bag. It semi serves its purpose (helping me carry a single book to a class I attend), but it is not high quality and for me, the closures make it ineffective.

I wanted a small casual but also professional looking messenger style bag to take to work that was just large enough for my laptop and lunch, etc. I hate giant purses and computer bags and it is really hard to find something with a laptop pocket that is not huge. This bag is the perfect size and exactly what I wanted. I fully expect the straps to break at some point like all the other reviews mentioned, but I am ok with this and will be prepared with a replacement. I have searched high and low for the perfect size bag and a strap replacement in the future is a small price to pay as far as I’m concerned.

I’ve had the bag a few weeks, and so far I am very pleased. I use it daily for work. It had an excellent capacity. In the large section that zips closed, I’m able to place my small laptop, a clipboard full of papers, and expanding file folder, and a 5 subject notebook and still have a little room left over. There is also a zipper pouch and another open pouch on the inside. The two pouches on the front work well for a paperback book and my external hard drive. I like that the flip cover leaves no exposure of my items to the weather.

I am loving this bag. I like to carry books to read, and they fit perfectly in this bag along with everything I would carry in a purse. It's also cute, and doesn't look at all cheap. I get lots of compliments on it. I was worried about carrying books in a cross shoulder bag, but the strap is cushioned and it hasn't bothered my back or shoulder at all.

The bag would be fine for someone that just wants a plain empty bag with no special pockets. Compact/small size & nonbulky material is nice.However, For users who want to put a LAPTOP into the laptop slot, the DESIGN of the zippered top opening is TOO SMALL for a laptop to fit through the opening. Especially if there is anything else in the bag, you can't reach the back laptop slot because TOP FLAPS ARE IN THE WAY. Useless as a laptop bag.

The zippered top is very thin and cheap feeling. The front part of the bag is very thin and cheap material too. Strangely, the back, bottom, sides, and the flap are thick nice material. So why the cheap top and front?? I'd return this but Amazon is threatening to ban me for too many returns
