Hair Straightening brush
This straightening brush was bought for a cruise holiday as the cruise liner has said no items with a heat element are allowed on board.. no straightens arrrgh.. I have had a practice with this brush and the results are better than I expected. It is fairly easy to use with a hairdryer but does require patience and some good straightening cream.. the value for money is fair given the brand. It doesn’t give the same results as using straightening irons but is better for your hair as it doesn’t burn it feels softer and healthier and quite honestly I do like the fact that it gives a better texture.. humidity isn’t kind as the results don’t last as long as having straightened with 150 -200 degree heat which should be obvious, I think this is a great alternative to straightening irons for temporary use… possibly better for longer styles.

Convenient and helpful
I didn’t quite know what to expect with this brush, but my mum told me she had one when she was younger. turns out this brush is really good for holding the hair before you dry/straighten it - preventing you from burning your hands. it was a little bit of a faff to adjust to using it but that’s probably just me. all in all i really like the product and it’s really useful at getting your hair straighter when paired with hairdryers or straighteners

Great for creating tension
I have very thick, coarse and 2C curly hair which needs more tension than heat to straighten so for anyone with hair like this definitely a great tool. Usually reach for this instead of my straightener and use my hair dryer. Can be difficult to use if not sectioned hair before hand.

Good brush
This brush doesn't replace a round brush if you are looking for straightening your hair. I have thick hair it that can help. A normal paddle brush will do the same job.

One of the best hair products I have!
After hearing mixed reviews about the idea of using a straightening brush, I went ahead and decided to get one so I could make my own decision. I chose this brush because of the bristles and the price. My hair is very thick and naturally wavy and so straightening it is very difficult and almost never comes out as straight as I would like and I still have curly bits of hair near my roots. I used this brush with a hairdryer and the outcome was amazing! I had used a round brush with the hairdryer before but found that impossible to use however, the straightening brush for me is so much easier to control and makes my hair so much straighter while drying it with a hairdryer. I still have to straighten parts after but in general it made my hair incredibly straight and using it with a hairdryer works magic. I would definitely recommend this product.

Excellent brush and results - but a little effort needed
This is an excellent brush. I bought it to replace a similar but cheaper one that I had had sometime. This Denman brush is much better quality than the one I had and I believe it produces better results. This said I do have to put in a bit of effort to get my hair smooth and straight. I’ve got below shoulder length curly thick hair. After washing I seperate out three sections each side of my head. With a blow dry creme product applied I dry each section with a god anti frizz hairdryer, using the Denman brush as a clamp and on a hot setting it does produce a smooth flat section each time. This brush is good if like me you lack the skills a professional hairdresser has when they curl the hair around a round bristled brush to obtain the same result. Over all I think this brush is very very good if you want to tame your curly hair but I think the styling creme, the sectioning and the hairdryer also play their part in getting the sleek swishy look that us girls with frizzy hair dream of. Hope this helps!

100% would recommend using these for Afro hair
I will use this brush every single time I straighten my hair from now onwards. I have very long, thick, dense Afro hair (a mixture of 3a-4a type). Although I still have to straighten my hair in small sections, this brush smooths out the hair, gives really good tension and allows the straighteners to pass over super easily, just make sure you detangle the section first. It also really smooths out the ends and honestly they’ve never looked better. Would absolutely 100% recommend. Takes a little getting used to but once you’ve got the hang of it, they’re great.

Great but breaks
I have used this brush for quite a few years and would previously have rated it five stars as it has been great at smoothing my hair, which is normally frizzy and worked much better than any other brushes I have tried. My old brush wore out after a couple of years and the bristles started falling out so I bought a replacement. After around two months, the metal came away on the new one so I thought maybe it was just faulty and I bought another. However the same has happened, after only about a month it has fallen apart and is unusable.
