160BAR High Pressure Washer Sand Blasting Sand and Wet Blaster Kit for Karcher

Top job for car refurb. Used with builders sand (kiln dried) and glass bead (180-300micron) to refresh some 20 year old car parts. Pics show the outcome. Occasionally a small amount of water will run from the nozzle down the clear hose the wrong way and sand will block - easy fix, just pull the hose off and swing it round like a lasso til the sand flies out, then plug it back on. Gravity is your friend - twist the nozzle upside down so that water can’t run down the hose and you won’t find he problem at all. 100kg of sand blasted with a Karcher 110bar pressure washer and I see only a little wear on the nozzle. Spare nozzles available on a well known auction site. Happy to recommend.

The unit itself works quite well but doesn't perform as well as in the promo video's. The plastic pipe from the collector that feeds the grit bends over very easily and reduces or stops the flow of grit when kinking over, so I will modify to take a length of copper pipe to stop this. Overall for the price it's fairly effective but uses far more grit than expected so am hoping to be able to clean and dry to maybe use again as nearly £20 for 25kg is pretty expensive but it will get to places a grinder or wire brush on an angle grinder won't. The pipe needs to be secured as well as possible into the bucket of grit as when you are moving the wand it can easily pull out and stop the grit flowing, practise will make perfect.

I opened the package and tried to install it into a standard Karcher trigger and it does not fit. Period.

I haven't been able to test this product yet but one of the pictures shows the hose as being reinforced with a fibre mesh. It is just plain tubing, in fact, and arrived with multiple kinks, one of which had caused a split so not very encouraging so far.

I’m refurbishing an old trailer, and this is perfect for de-rusting those hard to reach areas I can’t get to with a wire wheel. Uses a lot of sand though (25kg just for the axle!). Make sure your sand is dry, otherwise it won’t work.Looses 1 star as the sand feed hose is a bit rubbish - I replaced it with a bit of hose pipe.

Was a little messy in use but cleaned the corrosion perfectly.

Not convinced it actually works that well - also there is a need to add a jubilee clip around hose connection(not supplied) otherwise the sand gets wet
