Miele Complete C3 Cat and Dog Power Line Bagged Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner, 4.5 L, 1200 W - Red [Energy Class D]

After having this hoover for over a year I can honestly say its the BEST hoover ever!!I still love it and its a joy to use... have not lloked back after normally buying Dyson. THIS IS THE HOOVER, especially if you find hoovering diificutl with pets..I have a great many and it cleans the carpet and other flooring with ease, has never got blocked even with wood pellet cat litter!!Seriously this is the hoover!After having this hoover for nearly three weeks I can safely say its now a 5 Star!!THE BEST HOOVER I HAVE OWNED IN OVER 35 years!Posted a 4 star until I have had this a couple of weeks. Its actually a pleasure to get it out and hoover!!Pick up ...forget Dyson..had three last one cats £400...now going to my husbands workshop after only a few months..cannot be bothered sending back to Dyson as it really is just a pile of....The Pickup on this Miele... I can see my carpet, cata nd dog hairs gone, fine dust gone.... even larger debris colelcted like cat litter.... and oh! how easy to use! I had cylinder hoovers for years and was apprehenvie about an upright but when I got the Dysons it was great no more bending. SO when I saw the Miele I wondeed about cylinder or upright. I saw the upright had problems about larger debris and getting blocked and thought hey! that's what's happening with the Dyson..so opted once more for a cylinder still anxious about bending because the hand tube is usually too short. Well never fear! I am stabding upright and it glides along beautifully...although its powerful enough to lift the carpet as it sucks..its not so strong I can't move it along.First time I have had a Miele and heard so many good reports over the years don't know why I didn't ..if you are wondering..don't...excellent especially if you have pets and live in a rural areas where mud and grass and all sorts are likely to come into the house. We have over a dozen cats and one dog..so that's a true testament to this hoover!Second day - I have just hoovered the whole of downstairs and what pure joy! Its easy! I have veen managed to hoover under a cupboard that I haven't been able to get to for 'years.' In addition I noted that it hoovers at teh side as well...something Dyson profess to do but not very well!Day 5.. did I say that the ergonomics of the hadnle is just incredible?...Who would think that a curve would make all the difference, especially if you are tall.Hoovering is a joy I just did the downstairs in the minutes... and feeling teh carpet under barefeet is ama\zing too..no more 'bits' underfoot! No stopping and starting to clean out the brush as on that other so clean make...not large debris but dust and fluff which blocked it and I was told that this was because teh amchien was more powerful!! haha! well eat your heart out 'D'...I shall be naming the name of Miele in future - this company tells the truth!!!

I haven't used cylinder vacuums for years, as I always felt that the beater bar gave a much better clean, and the air powered turbo brushes on cylinders were almost useless. However, the turbobrush on this machine is amazing. It is the most powerful ( despite the legally required lower wattage), quietest, best made and best designed vacuum cleaner I have ever used. It is pretty well impossible to fault. You do need to vary the power, as the suction is so great, but this is easily achieved. Much lighter than an upright. It has eschewed trendy cyclone technology and uses tried and tested, "old fashioned" bags and filters, but perfected. The bags are large and last for several weeks even cleaning a large house with two moulting dogs. The bags compress the dust (and fur!) without seeming to lose much suction. A new filter comes with each pack of bags. The bags are expensive, but they last well. I have also found one UK supplier of non-original bags which are of a similar quality and much lower price. Avoid the really cheap bags you see on-line though. This machine is worth spending a little more on, the results are definitely worth it.

Replacement for earlier model when on/off switch failed after many years of heavy use. Remains pleasingly portable (neither bulky or heavy), very effective attachments, now with excellent range of power settings (from quiet and quite powerful to not too loud and very powerful). Power cable recoil very good, cable length excellent, excellent build quality and decent bag capacity (superior to bagless version which also weighs more). Does very good job of removing dog hairs whilst deep cleaning carpets (mid range setting will see carpet slightly lifting from underlay as you run vacuum over it given its power and quality of vacuum head). Effective tile/hard surface setting to same vacuum head too.
