Zefal Lock'N Roll Locking Security Qr Skewers for Wheels Front 5 x 128 mm Rear 5 x 163 mm

Having read a number of reviews I thought it only fair to set the record straight & appraise this item fairly & squarely! Firstly, if you've ever been the victim of crime then you have my sympathies. Secondly, the way these locks work are unique, and if installed correctly (& carefully,) will work as intended but only to a point! They are also far from the perfect answer to the question of security & if you have massively valuable wheels - or leave you pride & joy parked alone for long periods of time, then quick release - even a lockable quick release (like the item featured here) are, and will always be a poor choice. Period. If this is you then you would be better considering a truly lockable (with key) type wheel spindle. That said, for the money - and for the short periods of times my bike will remain outside a local convenience store (while I pop in to stock up on a Mars bar or three,) these little gems provide me with ample peace of mind. And regarding the comments about the materials used (blah, blah, blah) - ignore that rubbish. For the price they are good quality & when applying the correct interpretation of use of these "lock in place" spindles, they represent great value for money (compared to other designs,) and a substantial upgrade from the norm.

Great added security for your bike. Fitted and removed when bike is inverted, bike right way up you can not unlock the skewers. Great when you locked you bike up, the little buxxxrs cant nick your wheels. This my second set for wifes bike.

Great idea and an extra security feature for when your bike is locked up. Reassuring to know your wheels are also secured, as well as the frame. However, I returned these as the rear one would not clamp tightly enough to my bespoke frame. Equally, once the bike is inverted, the skewers can be undone (that’s how they work), so you’ll need to ensure the lock around the frame prevents the bike from being inverted/rotated.

Great value, and seems very likely to deter the casual thief.

I am now one of three people I know who have had their wheel's stolen while fitted these so-called "locks". Not only a waste of money but could cost you over 200quid for replacement wheels. this product should not be allowed to use the word lock. go for Pitlock instead
