Ideal Standard SV89067 Dual flush valve, No Finish

Easy to fit, good price and works as it should.

Only just fitted, seems fine, also comes with attachment to fit to cistern, which is not required if already replacing like for like, only point, think it should be made more clear, that it is the 270 mm modal, size quoted is with supplied attachment, I only found this out, from questions and answers. Also bought a nearly new one a bargain.

Quite easy to install, works well.

It was really easy to fit and was a lot cheaper compared to my local plumbing companies, who even had trouble ordering within a 3 week delivery time slot!This arrived next day and easy to install.

Our old flush mechanism was getting increasingly stiff, probably due to a build up of limescale over the years (the joys of living in a hard water area), to the point where some days it felt as if your thumb was going to break trying to depress the flush button...After measuring, and then remeasuring just to be sure, the existing flush whilst still in-situ, this part was ordered and arrived next day as usual for Prime deliveries. Once the water to the cistern was shut off to stop it refilling, it was an easy job to unclip the old flush mechanism from the existing mounting cage at the bottom of the cistern (just pay attention to the included instructions and don't twist too hard and end up breaking the clips - whilst this flush does come with a replacement cage as well, replacing that is a somewhat more involved job, so try to keep the original cage in one piece!), pull the old flush mechanism up and out, give the rim of the water outlet a clean to provide a smooth surface against which the new seal would sit, then lower the new flush into the cage and twist to click securely into place.Replace the cistern lid and check the flush buttons aren't sitting too high or low (they weren't - this replacement part was a *perfect* match for the old one, so no adjustments required at all), and a couple of test flushes to make sure all was well, and job done. Honestly, from start to finish it took about as long to complete the job as it's done to write this review, and the difference in force required to activate the flush is obvious - it's like having a brand new toilet again.

Fine

Easy to install, there were no instructions but worked it out. Need to carefully measure the length before buying (mine was a few mm longer it seems when fitted though same height as the old one) coz when I replaced the lid it was just continuously flushing/leaking, it turns out that the flush button was continuously putting pressure on the flush. Anyway, I cut and shortened the plastic kind of peg and removed the circular kind of flat plate (don’t know what you call these things, sorry) that’s attached to the flush button (under the lid) and it worked!

Toilet was broken, I took the old valve out, eventually found out which one I needed, got this and put it in. Now my toilet is working fine. Easy to fit and no problems, hopefully it will last a long time. Did the job.
