This is a very good auto-darkening helmet. It’s very easy to see through the lens when you are setting up your work and the response time when you “strike up” is super. My previous helmet’s response time was a bit slow, causing eye discomfort. I used to be a welder (years ago!) but now only weld as a hobby and this is the best helmet I have ever had. Some people complain about the dial on the helmet, being easy to accidentally adjust but so far, I haven’t found this to be a problem. If you’re looking for a good auto-darkening helmet at a great price, I would certainly recommend this one.

I took a lot of care in choosing this item and read plenty of in depth reviews. Almost tempted with the sexy carbon/cool graphics of other similar products but ultimately decided to stick with my own maxim - buy as much quality as you can afford. Superficial artwork adds not a thing to how well the helmet performs. This one is worth the money - and then some. Lovely big viewer. Supremely effective darkening. Decent build. Exceptionally comfy with plenty of adjustment to fit all size heads. I'm new to welding, and that makes the helmet if anything even more essential. Have yet to develop a 'feel' for how my puddle is forming therefore need to be able to see it. Just buy it - you'll be glad you did.

Excellent for the price. My only criticism would be that the dial on the left that selects the filtering level and also have a "grind" setting for no light filtering is easy to knock. This can result in a surprise when you have accidently moved the dial to grind and then go to weld something, arc-eye for a couple of minutes!

I have only used it a few times but it has worked perfect once set right. I have fitted magnifying lenses that are a good upgrade. Good value for the money.

I do bits of welding only occasionally, using a 40 year old arc welder. The problem of striking an arc somewhere near the right point has always been tricky for me. Up to last week, I didn't know that auto-darkening helmets existed, and I was a little sceptical about the claim that they needed only a few milliseconds to adjust to the arc.Today I tried it out and was amazed at how easy it makes the whole process. It's comfortable to wear, there's no flipping up and down, the view is clear and the arc is much easier to strike because the tip of the electrode is clearly visible all the time.The helmet was delivered to a click-and-collect point near me the day after ordering and the small amount of assembly required was quick and easy to accomplish.So, from my point of view, an excellent purchase

Cool! Allows for a hands-free experience. Darkens as soon as the electrode sparks. Work-piece is clearly visible. Well worth the price I paid for this article.

Decent auto darkening mask, I only use it lightly but is does what I want, cant say how it would fare with heavy use but it works for me.

I've done quite a bit of arc welding with this helmet and can see the weld pool clearly, which is a must if you want the weld in the right place. Does the important job of protecting your eyes. You can see the work piece clearly through the screen then once you start the arc it darkens to what you have selected. You may have to try a few settings until you get it right for your type of welding, but using a dc inverter arc welder isn't too aggressive.

Great helmet. No complaints. No flash after using for 10hr shifts. I just bought my second. I used my first one for two years no issues. I bought a second one because the first one was worn out. Buddy at work has been a welder for 30 years and says this is the best helmet he has ever had.

it is working well and once we get use to it you can carry on your work comfortably now as your left hand which previously you use to hold protective glass is free. However, on the cost side it is heavy if you can get what I mean

This welding helmet has held up very well and I do tend to be somewhat hard on my equipment . Now this is by no means a PRODUCTION helmet , although it could serve well as a daily backup . The point being , the shell is not rugged enough in my opinion for that type of use . The other point being , for this price you cannot go wrong for a home shop welding helmet . I've owned plenty of helmets and weld at least twice a week , often all weekend when restoring mopar automobiles and this helmet is comfortable and reliable . It has three sensors that perform perfectly and delay and sensitivity is adjustable at the viewing element . Two steps of 9 shade levels plus grind mode has you covered easily , more than enough . Viewing area is more than adequate and lens cover is durable and easy to replace . Visibility is excellent and auto shading reacts perfectly as adjusted . This helmet easily competes ( and wins in my opinion) against pro name 100 to 200 dollar helmets ...except for The shell which is merely to thin and flexible for daily " production" work . However it does not crack or come out of raise / lower adjustment at all ... Just a bit thin that's it . Overall this is the best value in a helmet I have ever come across by a long shot .
