Any Co2 is better than no Co2 for planted fish tanks

Excellent product, ideal for the smaller fish tank. Plants growth and condition much improved, I wish used this earlier.

No the way to get Co2 around your aquarium

I just wanted a little co2 in my aquarium without having a huge and dangerous fire extinguisher/pressurised co2 cyclinder next to my 30l nano! This is pretty cheap at only £12 from pets at home so I thought no worries if it's useless. So I set it up, it's super simple, no hassle pressure guages, solenoids, bubble counters, timers etc etc. There is also no worries it will explode if the kids get to it.So I popped a drop checker in at dark blue! Set the co2 to 100mls daily as per instructions. Came down the next day not only was the drop checker lime green but there was still co2 left in the diffuser. After 2 days it was pure yellow. I thought it was wrong so I did a 50% water change and changed the 4kdh and blue liquid, within 6 hours the colour was pale blue, after 12 turquoise and by morning lime green again. I decided to dial it back the last thing I wanted was a high tech tank.I now use only 60 to 80mls daily which gives me a green colour. At 100mls daily i was getting the equivilent of 2 bubbles per second! So the diffusion is amazing and its not even in the filter outflow path. Every morning I release the old co2 and pop new gas in.It's easy to clean, it's not noticeable and the only downside I can think of is that the Betta tries to go in it and make bubble nests. Anyway these cans according to the instructions will last 65 days at 80mls which means I'll need 5 or less cans per year. Bargain for a pretty cheap and convenient for a child safe, easy to clean co2 system which produces a yellow drop checker! The other great thing is that the can is easily hidden and easily cleaned and easily replacable, I think I've gone on enough but I'm just so happy

I bought this as a cheap alternative to liquid carbon and in just a few days I noticed a huge difference in plant growth. My vallisneria shot right up to the surface and my water lettuce roots doubled in length.It'd be nice if the instructions explained that air is diffused through the water surface within the chamber rather than from the vent on top.

Fine little plant booster that does exactly what you want. It did take about a week to see a clear difference. Just hang in there. One thing I dont get and that is it never empties all the way but the instructions do state that you need to empty it 1x per week for some reason.

Awesome! Love these c02 canisters. They are super easy to install and last a long time. I have three now. It's just tough to find replacement canisters...

..insofern kann ich noch nicht sagen, inwieweit es den Pflanzen gut tut. Das System an sich finde ich ganz gut, der Behälter im Aquarium stört an sich nicht und die Dose konnte ich hinter dem Aquariumschrank verstecken. Die Saugnäpfe sind allerdings nicht besonders gut und werde ich wohl austauschen. Deshalb der Punkt Abzug. Jetzt muss es nur noch funktionieren.Habe schon gelesen, dass die Menge co2 relativ gering ist, die abgegeben wird, und deshalb mit den üblichen Methoden auch nicht zu messen ist. Trotzdem soll es bei einfachen Pflanzen, die nicht so grosse Ansprüche haben helfen, grade in der Einlaufphase des Aquariums. Ich bin gespannt!
