Works well for my 19 year old Best Chairs glider rocker
I have a Best Chairs brand glider rocker, and for the 19 years I've owned it, it has held up well, minus some spring issues. . .and, just recently, squeaky bearings. I'm surprised my old bearings lasted as long as they did. Being that my glider is my reading chair and so sit in it often, I wasn't enthused with all that squeaking. I could have bought a new chair, but. . .chairs are not cheap, at least not the comfortable ones, so I opted to find new bearings for it. After a little searching, I found these. I noticed several people used these bearings to replace the old ones on their "Best" glider rockers, which I am assuming is the same brand as mine (Best Chairs Inc.), so I decided to give them a try. Glad I did.The bearings seem of good quality, not light and flimsy by any means. They are a little different than my original bearings, but the bolt hole and the diameter of them are the same, so I figured they should work. What is different about these compared to my old ones is that these new bearings are just a tad shorter (maybe by 2 mm), has a slightly raised lip on the base and that the top of the bearing isn't completely round, is flat on two sides. Also, the very top part that the bolt screws into is smooth, while my older bearings were grooved. I attached a couple photos of the new bearing adjacent to the old one so you can see the slight differences.I only had one. . .maybe two bearings that were squeaking, but I since I had the bottom of my chair apart, I figured might as well replace them all. If two have gone bad by now. . .I'm sure the rest will follow. To change out all the the bearings, it took me about 45 minutes. Wasn't too difficult of a job. Maybe the hardest part was removing the old bearings; half them were really stuck in there, and I had to use a hammer and a thin screwdriver to pry them out. I got them all out, though, without damaging the chair, minus a little nick here and there where I had to ram in my screwdriver. After I replaced and put my chair back together. . .it is now as quiet as when it was brand-new. At first, I was a little concerned that slight height difference in the new bearings might cause some issues, like misalign the frame so to cause rubbing, but they didn't. They worked well enough. I'm thankful and happy I didn't have to spend hundreds of dollars on a new chair.I give this five stars.

Why didn't I replace these sooner???
The bearings arrived much quicker than the estimated shipping time. The measurements were perfect, but I did add a washer between the bearing and the glider legs to match the depth/thickness of the old bearings. A new, similar rocker would be about $150. No, the bearings are not cheap, but our rocking chair had sentimental value as it was inherited from my father-in-law, so fixing it was much more appealing than replacing it. I expect the rocking chair to be a very popular seat in the family room now that it is smooth and silent. Great product!!

Perfect!
These bearings are the perfect match for my Best Home Inc. Giselle Glide Rocker.I couldn’t be happier with them. East to install and my decade+ year old chair feels like brand new. These bearings are of very good quality. I have already ordered some for my matching chair, and will order more for the rockers I bought for my grandchildren’s nurseries!

Shipping pretty fast
The shipping even though it was coming from Canada was pretty fast . 6 Days.. I agree with other reviews, Amazon should have this in stock for better shipping and avoid the shipping charge of $14.00 for prime members. The bearings fit perfect for my 17 year old best chair.. 4 star because of the shipping charge.

Great bearings, very reliable.
I had purchased these same bearings from the same seller on eBay 5 years ago. Installed in a rocking chair that is heavily used, that set was still going strong until just recently, when one of the eight began to fail, after about 10,000 hours of use (estimated). The other 7 still felt smooth, and the grease in those old bearings was still viscous like in the new set. I installed the new set and kept the 7 OK bearings from the first set as spares. Great product, great seller.

Takes a little more time to arrive
It took longer than usual to come in. The company is located in Canada so it has to go through customs. But soooo worth the wait. I got these to replace the ones in my glider rocker. These are the only ones we could find that matched the original ones. They were easy to install. These restored the smoothness of the motion and now my glider rocker doesn't squeak. Good buy!

Glider Bearings
These bearings are used for a glider rocker and glider foot stool. Whatever material used to comprise inner bearings doesn't hold up for more than 8 to 10 months if there is frequent daily use . Right from the manufacturer/sale of the chair about 8 months 6 bearings needed to be changed out. There are 8 bearings per chair and or foot stool .The first time around the store replaced the needed bearings per warranty . I ordered this set of 8 as a set and used 6 approx. 8 months after the store replaced them. So almost two sets of bearings basically lasted 16 months. At $66.50 every 8 -10 months an individual could potentially have spent almost enough to repurchase the glider/Rocker set. The furniture itself is fair quality but the bearings need to be made from a heavier duty material. I realize nothing has the quality it used to have but my mother still has my grand mothers glider rocker from the late 60's and guess what ? Its still in good condition. no repairs nor bearing replacements necessary. Unfortunately im in the position to need more bearings. Another set of 8 just to get the chair through another 8 months. Whoever is the head decision maker where the bearings are manufactured could you please consider rethinking the quality of the metallurgy used in the bearings and talk to someone about reducing the price . The old Japanese proverb communicated better quality and price that lasts longer draws a larger volume of customers in which increases profit margins.1 million sales of a quality durable product at a lower price still sells more than 500 thousand sales of a poor product at a higher price.
