Updated Review after a Year of Use . . .
Update: I have had this set for just at a year and the problem wasn't the sockets (as I predicted); it was the ratchets. The 1/4" fell apart - literally the head came apart mid twist. The 3/8" locked up periodically and I had to pull the socket off, jiggle it around, and then it would free up (for a while) before it would lock up again. The case is fine but I don't like that I had to buy two decent ratchets to use with the rest of the set.The socket walls are thin and not consistent between the 1/4", 3/8", and deepwell. The do the job but they define the meaning of" wobble" sockets. They don't hold a candle to the Craftsman tools I inherited from my dad. As a cheap backup set to carry in the car, these are sufficient. If, however, you are looking for the old school craftsman quality, it is gone. Clearly marked "Made in China"You get what you pay for but I was hoping the name carried more weight than the mediocre reviews: alas. . .

Not the Craftsman I've come to trust.
Bought this for a permanent toolkit for my RV. This isn't the quality that I've known of Craftsman. The tools feel light compared to the ones I've had all my life in my main toolbox. The "things" in the ratchets that select the direction are loose and easily disengaged. I know, it's a low-cost set but that doesn't mean it has to be cheap.What's happened to Craftsman? I guess it's all made in china now.

Good tool kit
Overall my son is very satisfied with this tool kit, which was a Christmas present. Only drawback is that it didn't have enough torque for some of his auto repair tasks. Overall a great product.

Nice Set for the Money
Very nice set. Two things cost the product a star: 1) The case isn't terrific, and parts will fall out. The fix is to take your time opening it, and remember to open it right side up. 2) The ratchets maybe don't fit the hand as well as they should. For the money, though, it's hard to complain. I use this set often, most recently on a brake job. Worked great. For those concerned, my set was made in China.

Socket and Rachet broke
Happy this is craftsman with lifetime warranty. The rachet and socket broke on the specific job I purchased this for.

I like em . Not a bad set for the money. Saw bad reviews about the case. I don’t need that . I removed the lid , and only use the bottom as an organizer for a drawer in my tool cart . I would recommend for a DIY amateur like myself.
