Lakeland Red Stain Proof Microwave Duo Egg Poacher with Lid

Poached eggs come out beautifully with this poacher but the lid creates a vacuum whilst poaching m anime you have to prise the lid off with a knife. Also the eggs leave enough residue behind that you have to wash it before poaching more eggs.

Looks good. It's probably my poor washing style, but it is worth mentioning that after 1 month the lid has some micro scratches on it. Not a big deal with me; but it might affect your choice. The most important news that you need to know is that it is fantastic at poaching eggs. Easy to clean too #lazy that's me!

These are great, once you dial in the water & time, which does take a few eggs to get right & even then doesn't work 100% of the time, but then no egg is identical...

Makes it extremely easy to poach one or two eggs. Unfortunately the plastic isn't non-stick and, in my experience, you tend to end up having to do a fairly serious amount of washing up.

This is a great little addition to the microwave cooking range - I had a poacher before and lost it somewhere but in truth the eggs always used to stick and made a bloody mess of the poscher - this one is a much better design and gives much more realistically poached eggless.You fill each compartment about a 1/3 full of water and heat in the microwave for the time stated (it's only seconds) then add your egg to the water put the lid on and put back in the microwave for 40s - two perfectly poached eggs :O) NOM

Initially difficult to use. Instructions poor.

I like it, for me worked a lot better with a smear of butter and pricking the White. Takes a couple of attempts to perfect timing. End of the day a very convenient way to poach an egg

I followed the instructions, noting that it was 'not necessary' to pierce the yolk using the advised method, popped the egg poacher into the microwave, set the timer for 35 seconds (950W Microwave) and stood back, fully expecting to experience a loud explosion and spend the rest of the morning cleaning the inside of the microwave. But not at all, it worked like a charm! Had to put it back in for a few seconds more, but hey, it did the job beautifully. A quick, clean and simple way to poach a couple of eggs. Highly recommended.
