TB Davies 1530-005 EnviroFold 3-section Wooden Loft Ladder with Hatch, 33mm Insulation, 1.11 W/m2oC, Max. Floor2Ceiling 2.8m (9.18ft), EN14975

I purchased this ladders ajfter doing a lot of research and thought these would be perfect but after paying a joiner to fit them we realised the arc for taken the ladder down is restricted and hits the top of the bedroom door Might be my fault but can't see anything to give you a minimum space for the ladder to be fitted and due to pipes and wires it can't be moved. Only thing joiner could do was keep ladder close to hatch and force the hatch back so squeeze the ladder past. Very disappointed as it cost a lot and will leave a large hole if I have to get a different one.

The box has something like “check contents aren’t damaged before your delivery driver leaves as he has time to wait while you check” however the Courier was quick to drop package at door and ask if everything is ok and not damaged as he’s nearly driving away...unfortunately there wasn’t enough time to properly check and turns out there was damage on the loft hatch door and was obvious when fitted. There was protection around the hatch door to hinder it getting damaged but I’d imagine it got thrown about a bit while in route as it’s quite a heavy awkward box. Hatch was easy enough to install once you find correct location. There is no screws supplied with item to fit to beams.

Really happy with this loft ladder.Very easy to fit, done it myself, no issues good quality and sturdy.

The description on Amazon page included the following: " You will need to cut open an aperture of 1200 x 700mm in your ceiling to fit this loft ladder. I prepared the ceiling with a hole as described. On receipt of the ladder the hole required was 550mm wide not 700mm. This has resulted in delays & additional time & costs. I am not happy!The product appears to be otherwise as described. Perhaps more is yet to be revealed?

I had reservations about this product having read previous reviews about the quality of the product. Those reservations were unfounded, the product is exceptional quality, if the hatch frame was softwood previously it is now high quality 28mm birch ply with steel angled corner braces bolted together. Altogether the quality is exceptional.I fitted on my own, took a bit of working out but once I had figured out how to hold in place whilst fitting it was a cinch. Definitely built to last.Would recommend without reservation, great product.

Loft ladder and hatch are great. Couple of things to bear in mind:1. Try and get two people to install it, when tensioning the springs and lifting into the hole it can be quite difficult alone.2. If you get the one with the two hand rails install them BEFORE adding the springs, it cannot really be done after the springs are under tension as it will want to pull the brackets away.Even with these little things, it can't be beaten for the price. It replaced a old 300mm by 600mm hatch and this is miles better than that, just quick access to the loft when you need it.

Bought as a replacement for a previous aluminium ladder that was a death-trap. This is much safer. If the controlling pole slips out of the ring, as happens from time to time, the hatch and attached ladder stay where they are. The previous one had a nasty habit of slamming down hard and dropping the ladder part straight down. In this one, once the hatch has been released and points straight down, you unfold the bottom two sections by hand. The rungs are sturdy and the handrail both useful and necessary. My only criticism is that once you get to the rungs that are against the hatch (the last 5 in the illustration) you can't get your feet fully on, but by then you have the handrail for increased security. Coupled with free delivery and a hefty discount using Amazon Prime this represents good value for money.

Liked everything about the product except for the black rubber/plastic leg protectors which keeps coming detached. I have screwed and glued them, but they seem too thin.
