Ideal Standard
Bought this kit including the Inlet Fill Valve Diaphragm Washer. It looked different to my old one but worked perfectly!! Took 2 minutes to change and toilet stopped overflowing.

Great, especially if you have the twist-lock style fill valve.
These are genuine ideal standard parts and delivery was excellent. Easy to fit and did exactly what I needed to repair my leaking toilet issues. As other reviewers have mentioned the Ideal Standard/Armitage Shanks fill valve units for which this kit is designed comes in two versions. The diaphragm housing on the older style unscrews, the newer version has a twist-lock system (you twist it 45 degrees and then it comes apart rather than having to unscrew it through several rotations). What you cannot tell from the image is that the diaphragms for each version are different on the reverse side and are NOT interchangeable. The packs of diaphragms you can buy are only the type for the older screw thread type fill valve. If, like me, you have the twist-lock valve this is the only pack I have found that includes the new style diaphragm that the valve requires (the kit comes with one of each type).

Best way to get a replacement washer for a twist-lock inlet valve!
If you have the newer twist-lock type of inlet valve in your cistern (as opposed to the older screw design) made by Ideal Standard or Armitage Shanks, this is the best option to get hold of the right replacement washer since they are almost impossible to buy separately. The trouble is the washer for the older screw valve design looks almost identical, as you can see from the photo of the two next to each other, but it won't work properly in the twist-lock valve. This older washer is quite easy to buy separately as it's been round for longer, but don't be fooled into buying one of those as it won't do the job in the newer valve! The only other alternative is to buy a generic (e.g. Unipart) replacement twist-lock valve and just take out the washer from it to use in your existing valve, but that will cost you a few more pounds and is wasteful.Since this is a genuine branded Armitage Shanks service kit, it is made to a high standard and should be guaranteed to be a good replacement for your existing parts.

It solved my leak
The main reason you'd order this overhaul kit is for the internal washer, which takes a matter of minutes to fit and solved my problem, which was a continually filling cistern. Hence the 5 stars. But to make use of all parts in the pack you have to completely remove the filler from your cistern by which time you may as well buy a complete shiny new lime-scale-free Ideal Standard Univalve filler which I found for only a couple of quid more from a non-Amazon source. With hindsight I'd have done the latter.

Fixed the issue with the inlet valve constantly letting water into the cistern
I ordered this kit mainly for the rubber cap for the inlet valve. The fault was our toilet inlet valve was letting water in constantly and the cistern overflowing. After replacing the rubber cap and rubber bung from the service kit the issue was fixed. It took a couple of flush cycles after the parts were replaced for the inlet valve to work properly so just be wary of that if it doesn't fix the issue immediately. Two months later and this is still working ad expected. I wouldn't have be able to replace the inlet valve myself due to soldered connections so this has stopped me having to get a plumber out. Great kit to fix the issue.

Fixed my problem but packaged with parts I don't need thus making this overly expensive.
It proved very difficult to find the hushflow washer for ideal standard that would fit the inlet valve of my cistern. I found it here however you must buy the pack with other spares (which may come handy some day but i'd rather have the choice) included at nearly £7. Washers normally cost just over a £1. Unfortunately as it would cost more to replace the inlet as a whole I felt I had no choice. My original fitting lasted 4 years (new build house) and im fortunate enough to have two other bathrooms so i'll need more and I guess the rest of the residents of this large estate will be the same. So it'd be handy if we could buy the hushflow washers separate, i'd hate to think there is profiteering going on here...The product itself worked well and has to be fair saved me a lot of money getting a plumber to fix what is a simple problem. Please sell separately!

Just the job.
Did the job, only needed a couple of bits out of the kit and if you read the instructions that some with it you will save a lot of time compared to replacing the whole thing, my toilet is now not costing me a fortune in water use!
