Dr Martens Safety Boot with Air Cushion Sole

COMFORTABLE FROM DAY ONE, GOOD QUALITY LEATHER.
UPDATED: 04/09/2018: I usually buy a size 13, they fit correctly. The boot is good for wider feet, there is plenty of space in the foot bed and toe area. The quality of the leather is good and there is extra reinforcing inside the heel. So far they were comfortable from the off and required no breaking in, 21,000 steps on the first day and no blisters. The air soles give good cushioning and they are slip resistant. If I get six months to a year out of them I will be happy and they are great for everyday use.UPDATE: The boots are not waterproof and do not claim to be, but they struggle to be water resistant. On the outside of the shoe uppers where your little toe resides you will see a seam with double rows of stitching and some decorative stitching which goes all the way through into the boot. This area tends to wick water into the boot. This can lead to the stitching rubbing against your small toe.My advice, to stop the seam stitching from rubbing wear a decent mid to heavy hiking sock. To delay the water from seeping through the stitching coat the stitches with a decent boot wax. Also, now after six months the soles and heels are losing their 'bounce' and feel low at the heel when walking. However, I did say that I wanted at least six months out of them and I did get that. They are still reasonably serviceable but will need replacing. When I purchase another pair of Dr Martens I will want a pair that do not have any stitched seams where the little toe lives.I used to wear Doc's in my teens as a fashion statement, now that I'm a little more grown up I wear them on industrial sites, though I don't have the spiky Mohican or tartan bondage trousers anymore.

Nice quality boots, very very hard on the sole.
Very well made boots. Will last a long time in a CNC Enginneering environment. Gave them a 3 star(Downgraded to two/see below) because of the comfort factor. They are very hard on the sole compared to the Dr Marten Thorpe they replaced. Will be getting some extra cushioned insoles as the sole of my feet really hurt at the end of the day.Update. Have been wearing these for 6 weeks now and I've had to order a different pair of work boots, as these are crippling me. I'm on my feet for 8 hours per day and they are getting more painfully numb with each one. Going back to Dr Martens Thorpe/Tred sole. Downgraded to two stars.

Docs, no more to say
If you love and live in docs you won't be disappointed with these. Super comfy from the off, no breaking in required. I bought a bigger size because I find with these and the way the toe cap is you'll need the extra room for thick socks but other than that they're great

Best work boots I’ve had
I’ve worn dr martens for work for the last 40 years and you can’t beat them I’ve started to suffer with plantar fasciitis and have changed from the industrial solid sole to the air wair sole and it’s cured it. I wear them for twelve hours a shift and my feel as good at the end of the shift as they do at the start

Great boot, bad stitching
I've always been a champion of how comfortable a pair of Docs safety boots are, this is the first time in about 20 years of wearing them that I got a blister, point being they are so well made that they don't need breaking in, this pair however has stitching inside the boot at the heel and on the first day of wearing blistered the heel. That aside, it's a really aesthetically pleasing boot. Sturdy and other than the rogue stitching inside the boot still really comfortable to wear. I would recommend
