Almay Healthy Glow Makeup + Gradual Self Tan 200 Light/Medium

Very poor product, the self tan doesn't come out of the dispenser until you have used a lot of the make up, as they are from two separate holes, and then stoops after a short period of time. The make up is very pale and the self tan doesn't tan.

This Healthy Glow Makeup + Gradual Self Tan SPF 20 from Almay is a clever self-tanning foundation with sun protection. It comes in a dual chambered bottle that dispenses the foundation on one side and self-tanner on the other delivering an easy-to-blend, creamy foundation offering medium coverage. It has a natural soft finish and at the end of the day, you'll see that this does leave a gradual tan on the skin. Almay says it takes 3 days to see noticeable tanning results, with maximum colour development after 7 days of continued daily use.This shade for Light/Medium skin tones created a subtle, gradual tan. The formula does have a fragrance, which may be an issue if you have extra sensitive skin, and although it’s good to see the SPF 20, from an anti-ageing perspective this would have been even better if it was 30 or higher. Although I’m a fan of pump dispensers, I found this pump dispenser to be on the fiddle side to use in terms of dispensing equal measures of the product, making it a bit wasteful, it would have been better in a dual chambered tube.Ingredients:Active: Octinoxate (7%), Titanium Dioxide (7.1%), Zinc Oxide (4.2%). The coverage is very good. This makeup goes on thick and I noticed my skin brighten up right away, on first use. The color I used is the light/medium. I usually wear is Loreal True Match but it does not provide as good coverage. This wasIf there is one negative, I would have to say the odor. It was strong, but I am willing to deal with that if I have a warm and healthy glow. Will update after more continued use, as far as the "gradual" tanning feature.Gradual tan update - No fake looking orange color. And no obvious makeup or tan line between face and neck. Very natural looking.

This container pumps out 2 liquids- one dispenses the "makeup" and the other dispenses the "self tanner" - they are suppose to come out at the same time and mix together - not always the case - in any event, I never use the self tanner - I don't feel it works at all BUT I Love the creamy foundation!.

I have been buying this product for 5-6 years. It doesn't have a strong fragrance. Some people are simply more sensitive than others. Also, even if the consistency is a bit on the thick side, it is not heavy. It is wonderfully light. The coverage is flawless & it blends beautifully with my skin tone which is on the fair side. My skin feels wonderful all day. Regarding the self-tanner, it hasn't worked for me, but it does add a bit of moisture to the mix which I love!

As other reviewers have mentioned this is a very thick product, I can't stand how the local CVS has absolutely no samples of anything to try on, so I bought this on Amazon as it was over $5 cheaper, and if you are taking a risk on a product at least it cost less.The product is supposed to have a light tanner, but seriously I saw nothing in the week I wore this. I have watched enough youtube vids and the secret to getting this not to stick in my pores is to mix it on the palm of my hand, together with a light moisturizer so you can mix up a lighter and smoother consistency, I then rub my hands lightly together and rub it all over my face, then I buff like crazy, this gives a nice even coverage, I double check in the mirror with my glasses on before I go out, just to make sure it hasn't gripped anywhere​ or sunk into a wrinkle, I will use this bottle but won't buy it again.

I'm a happy user of makeup counter products (favorite: Laura Mercier illuminating) and drugstore products (favorite: Maybelline BB cream) alike. I was excited about the prospect of a tanning feature but am very disappointed.- Self tanner does not work- Foundation makes skin dry at application but gets very oily as day goes on - have my first blemish in over a year- Product is very thick - appears "cakey" and hangs out in creases such as around the eye and eyelid; if you get it in your eyebrows, forget it- Using less product does not yield better results as it does not spread well- Using a makeup sponge does not help blend, it just removes product (never experienced this with other lotions and foundations)
