Loved having this but would love it more if it was better build quality and performance. It constantly needed resetting and a short time after purchase it had fallen apart. I definitely wouldn't recommend whipping it around yourself like the guy in the promotional video. A bit of weak glue seems to be all that's holding it together so handle with great care. Probably keep away from anything warm. By the way you reset the thing, as I was told by someone at Practical Power, by unplugging and replugging it ten times! It's actually not as laborious as it sounds when you get the hang of it....and oh did I ever have to get the hang of it!

Caution with this as I am seeing a number of issues reported regarding the colour and mode control. Having just received one, it is now returned for refund as you have no control over the mode or colour...it just flashes like a maniac! Whilst my original luminoodle is excellent, this colour and mode changing one simply does not work...to the extent that Power Practical have dedicated a whole page to the issue. I suspect that the luminoodle is using poor quality micro-controllers that constantly freeze. Sadly, I will not be purchasing another colour changing one...It's vastly hit and miss with these working...most disappointing considering the vast cost for this at over £30...don't buy to avoid disappointment.

Just love this product, we use it in our tent while we are camping. You can set it up to be a bright, white light, almost like a strip light, which lights up the whole of the inside of our large tent or, as we did, set it to a subdued, warm, red light and let the kids drift off while you sit and have a beer.I love gadgets so I was predisposed to like this (love it!!) but even my non-techie wife agreed this was a great addition to our camping box.

Great product. Comes at a price, but well worth the money. Out lasted other LED strips i've bought since. Should have just bought luminoodles again.My only concern is that the USB connection is perhaps a bit thin, causing occasional flickering when inserted into a USB socket.
